Pontiac G6 Fuel/propulsion System Safety Report | Nov 28, 2012

Reported on Nov 28, 2012

THERE IS A STRONG FUEL SMELL WHENEVER MY CAR IS STARTED AND RUNS. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF PERFORMANCE ISSUES OR LEAKING LIQUIDS. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO MIMIC THE SYMPTOMS FOUND ON THIS POPULAR GM FORUM POST : HTTP://WWW.G6OWNERSCLUB.COM/FORUM/SHOWTHREAD.PHP?T=12672 . I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE A CRACKED FUEL LINE INSIDE OF THE GAS TANK. GM RECALLED MANY CARS FOR THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM, BUT NOT THE PONTIAC G6, WHICH POTENTIAL USES THE SAME PART. *TR
