| TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED, HE NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN ENGAGING THE BRAKES. IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT PRESSURE BEING APPLIED TO THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING), HOWEVER THE CONTACT'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000. | |
