TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 PONTIAC G6. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ACTIVATED, THE DRIVER'S SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BECAME INOPERATIVE. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT BULB HAD BEEN REPLACED THREE TIMES SINCE JULY OF 2012. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHT SOCKET HAD BECOME COMPLETELY MELTED AND CORRODED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
