Pontiac G6 Engine And Engine Cooling Exhaust System Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe Safety Report | Sept 16, 2006

Reported on Sept 16, 2006

THE EXHAUST PIPE TIP ON MY 2006 PONTIAC G6 (STANDARD MODEL WITH V6) HAS A SHARP EDGE THAT CAN CUT AND INJURE SOMEONE WORKING ON THIS VEHICLE. THE SHARPNESS OF THE TIP AND ITS LOCATION NEAR THE REAR BUMPER CAN EASILY INJURE SOMEONE WHO IS HAND WASHING THE CAR. I LACERATED MY MIDDLE FINGER WHILE WASHING THE CAR IN THIS AREA WITH A SPONGE. IT WAS ALMOST DEEP ENOUGH TO REQUIRE STITCHES. IF I DIDN'T HAVE IMMEDIATE TRAVEL PLANS, I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE DOCTOR AND HAD IT STITCHED UP. *JB
