Pontiac Firebird 1998 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Foundation Components DiscPontiac Firebird 1998 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Foundation Components Disc Review #701519 PONTIAC FIREBIRD 1998 car safety problem was reported on June 12, 1998.PONTIAC FIREBIRD 1998, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC . the front brake rotors on my '98 pontiac firebird started warping at 10,000 miles, they got to a point where i came close to losing control of the vehicle on rain slicked roads. the extreme pulsating of the brakes makes the car very hard to control on wet roads. the warping of the rotors gets worse as the brakes get hot. when starting out in the morning the warping isn't very noticable, but gets much worse as they heat up. which makes it diffcult for the service dept. they check the brakes cold. after much complaining the dealer replaced the rotors at 13,417 miles. they started to warp again at about 16,000 miles. the dealer told me it was normal wear, and that it must be my breaking habits. later the manager told me that break problems are a very common complaint with gm. i don't know what to do at this point and i hate to touch the brake pedal at highway speeds due to all of the shaking of the car. i really feel that this is a major saftey issue. the combination of the antilock brakes and the severe pulsating makes for a dangerous situation. your help in this would be greatly appreciated..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):2G2FS22KXW2. 1992 Pontiac Bonneville had Battery stolen& all cables cut. Have My 1992 Pontiac Bonneville had (the week before Xmas) the Battery stolen& the thieves cut all the cables to it. I have since re-installed the needed cable terminals & new Battery. When turning the key in the ignition, all light HELP.....my 2006 G6 sometimes it doesnt want to turn on if i hit the gas it"ll start but not without a problem I have a Pontiac Grand Prix, 2006 model. I recently hit a deer that was dead in the road. My car just quit. It turns over but won't start. It seems as if it isn't getting any gas. Someone told me it might have a safety feature that keeps the gas f my 2007 vibe drivers seat height will not stay in the highest position. After a day or two I have to crank it up again. Why won't it stay up? GM replaced the seat and it is doing the same thing... Anyone else have this frustrating issue? HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR 1985 GTV6 FIERO TO HAVE CRUISE CONTROL. DOES THIS AFFECT PRICE AND IMPORTANT FEATURE IN SELLING THIS VEHICLE? Started sputtering & check engine light flashed for a bit then went off. Still sputters but the warning light hasn't reappeared. ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WORK, EXCEPT FOR HEAD LIGHTS. ALSO, HORN DOES NOT WORK Check brake fluid level & all the brake lights. Especially the one in the back window. what would cause my 2006 g6 not to shift into overdrive I bought my '03 Vibe almost three years ago. When I purchased it from a private owner it was gorgeous but within the first six months of ownership a bubble developed in the clear coat of the paint on the back left next to the rear window. It qui my 2004 pontica vibe steering wheel vibrates or shakes when going 70 mph or above. It's not the tires or wheels, and suggestions? I think it may have to do with the brakes.
