Pontiac Bonneville 1993 Structure Frame And MembersPontiac Bonneville 1993 Structure Frame And Members Review #10155493 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE 1993 car safety problem was reported on Apr 06, 2006.PONTIAC BONNEVILLE 1993, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS LLC had a problem with STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS . i own a 1993 pontiac bonneville, vin [xxx] with just over 160,000 miles on it. on the evening of april 6th, 2006 my wife was driving this car near our home. she was at a stop sign on ortman road and as she pulled onto cherry creek road she heard a loud clunk. at the same time she lost all steering ability. when she turned the steering wheel it just spun in circles as if it were no longer attached to anything. i was called and went to see what had happened. upon inspection of the vehicle i saw that the sub frame and motor had dropped down about 6 inches. there are four bolts that attach the sub frame to the body of these vehicles. the bolts were all in place and in good shape. each bolt has a washer, which retains the sub frame to the body of this car. on my car the washers corroded and wore to the point that they would no longer retain the sub frame. the bolts pulled through the mounting holes of the sub frame, thus allowing the engine and all related components to drop about 6 inches. when this happened the shaft from the rack and pinion steering to the steering wheel pulled apart, thereby leaving the operator of the vehicle with no ability to steer. on friday april 7th i called public service garage in marquette mi. and spoke to the service manager. he said that there was â??no recalls for this problem and that he sees this a few times a yearâ??. i called and filed a complaint with pontiac also. i have been told that it is â??very unlikely that pontiac will do anything because this only happens in the midwest where the winter roads are saltedâ?? thus causing high rates of corrosion. this would have been a five-minute fix if it were done before the failure. you could pull the bolts out one at a time and simply remove the old washer and replace it with a new one. i feel that the owners should be made aware of this possible problem. i also believe this problem exists on other makes and models of gm vehicles. *nm updated 07/16/2012*js .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 160000 miles. 1992 Pontiac Bonneville had Battery stolen& all cables cut. Have My 1992 Pontiac Bonneville had (the week before Xmas) the Battery stolen& the thieves cut all the cables to it. I have since re-installed the needed cable terminals & new Battery. When turning the key in the ignition, all light HELP.....my 2006 G6 sometimes it doesnt want to turn on if i hit the gas it"ll start but not without a problem I have a Pontiac Grand Prix, 2006 model. I recently hit a deer that was dead in the road. My car just quit. It turns over but won't start. It seems as if it isn't getting any gas. Someone told me it might have a safety feature that keeps the gas f my 2007 vibe drivers seat height will not stay in the highest position. After a day or two I have to crank it up again. Why won't it stay up? GM replaced the seat and it is doing the same thing... Anyone else have this frustrating issue? HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR 1985 GTV6 FIERO TO HAVE CRUISE CONTROL. DOES THIS AFFECT PRICE AND IMPORTANT FEATURE IN SELLING THIS VEHICLE? Started sputtering & check engine light flashed for a bit then went off. Still sputters but the warning light hasn't reappeared. ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WORK, EXCEPT FOR HEAD LIGHTS. ALSO, HORN DOES NOT WORK Check brake fluid level & all the brake lights. Especially the one in the back window. what would cause my 2006 g6 not to shift into overdrive I bought my '03 Vibe almost three years ago. When I purchased it from a private owner it was gorgeous but within the first six months of ownership a bubble developed in the clear coat of the paint on the back left next to the rear window. It qui my 2004 pontica vibe steering wheel vibrates or shakes when going 70 mph or above. It's not the tires or wheels, and suggestions? I think it may have to do with the brakes.
