Pontiac Aztek Power Train Automatic Transmission Safety Report | Jan 10, 2007

Reported on Jan 10, 2007

WHILE MY 02 AZTEC IS IN PARK AND CAR IS STARTED I AM UNABLE TO TAKE OUT OF PARK TO START DRIVING ,I MUST PUSH BUTTON ON GEAR SHIFT A NUMBER OF TIMES BEFORE IT WILL FINALLY GO INTO GEAR. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY WITH NO APPARENT PATTERN OR REASON ,ALTHOUGH WHEN CAR IS DRIVEN FREQUENTLY IT APPEARS LESS. THERE IS A CLICKING SOUND COMING FROM TOP OF STEERING COLUMN WHEN I AM ATTEMPTING TO PUT INTO GEAR. *JB
