Nissan Sentra 2006 Electrical System Alternator/generator/regulatorNissan Sentra 2006 Electrical System Alternator/generator/regulator Review #10172366 NISSAN SENTRA 2006 car safety problem was reported on Oct 24, 2006.NISSAN SENTRA 2006, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR . my son purchased a 2006 nissan sentra on 10/13/06. the car only had 20 miles on it. it ran good for a week then he started having problems with it not starting. he had to get it jumped off. that was friday 10/20/06; he didn't have any problems on sat. sunday was a different story, he and his fiance had a get it jumped off three times. when you would stop at stop sign or light it would barely take off. she went by the dealership to have them look at it.they told her it was probably the battery to bring it back on monday 10/23/06; she said it would have to be between his two jobs. he would come by around 4:15 pm, they said that was fine. he took the car back to the dealership on tues. 10/24/06, they ran a computer scan on the car and said it was fine that no codes showed up. he told them that something was wrong with the car and that he wanted to get whatever is wrong fixed. they told him to bring it and leave it, he explained to them that he couldn't leave the car due to the fact he works from 7am-4pm and 4:30pm-11pm. he asked about getting a rental or a loaner, they said he couldn't get one because his age and because no codes had showed up. he went to pick up his fiance, while they were in the car waiting for her they started to smell something burning and then they saw smoke. they got out and opened the hood, the alternator wires were on fire. he put it out. the dealership the next morning picked it up after i went there to tell them about it. i had already reported this to nissan motor north america. we were told that when the car was send back for the recall on the motor that they forgot to tighten the nut up on the alternator and that was what started the fire was an arc. they assigned it to a consumer affairs person. we had to take it because he had no other way to work. we didn't look at it until later that night it was found that all the dealership had done was taped all the naked wires that had melted, and left the singed ones on there. t *nm.Vehicle was on fire. Nissan Sentra 2006 TiresNissan Sentra 2006 Tires Review #10618449 NISSAN SENTRA 2006 car safety problem was reported on July 25, 2014.NISSAN SENTRA 2006, manufactured by Nissan North America, Inc. had a problem with TIRES . traveling westbound on i-10 between cottondale, fl and ft. walton, fl in traffic, the left rear tire blew out without warning causing loss of vehicle control. highway type-interstate- 4 lane divided. the vehicle was in the left lane. it went into the median, came back into the main travel lanes between traffic, rotated 360 degrees, then went off of the main travel lanes onto the right shoulder where it came to a stop. even though this occurred in traffic, there was no impact and no injury to the occupants. one sidewall of the tire is completely separated from the tire, and the other sidewall partially separated. the air pressure on the tire was checked just prior to beginning the trip. the condition of the tire was checked prior to the trip and the tire appeared to be in excellent condition. the tread and general condition of the failed tire show no evidence of prior damage or puncture. the 2 rear tires had been replaced in 2010 or 2011. the spare was installed and the car was driven to the nearest service center where all 4 tires were replaced. there was no damage to the rim. the failed tire is available for inspection. .Mileage was 77665 miles. Nissan Sentra 2006 EngineNissan Sentra 2006 Engine Review #10650524 NISSAN SENTRA 2006 car safety problem was reported on Oct 27, 2014.NISSAN SENTRA 2006, manufactured by Nissan North America, Inc. had a problem with ENGINE . i was going back to work after eating lunch driving about 45 mph and engine just stalled and quite running, this happened in a work zone where they were repairing road. i tried to start car and it would not start, had to wait about 10 minutes then car started but when i started to drive, it stalled again and did it twice until i got it running long enough to get it to shell station. when we got it to the mechanic shop they said it was the crank shaft sensor and the cam sensor that has failed. they told us that nissan cars are bad about doing this. i was in a dangerous spot with lots of traffic and road construction for this to happen and there could of been a bad accident over this but thankfully there was not. also another problem with this car is it has delayed cranking when trying to start car in summertime when it is hot outside. i bought this car used about five years ago and was not aware of the problems people were having with it stalling out like that. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 91000 miles. i took my 2005 nissan xterra to a dealership in long beach ca, to have them run a diagnostic test on why my check engine would go off. I drove off having more problems then a had when i took my vehicle into be tested. i paid 1'323.28 for a battery what does it mean when I put my 2004 Nissan Altima in drive and it takes it about 10 or seconds before it will go into drive. The weird thing is I can go into reverse with no problem or lower gear it goes I have a problem with my 2005 Nissan TPMS. After about 10 miles, the reading on the display changes to "**" for 1 of the 4 tires and the low pressure warning light comes on. I've checked pressure on the tires and they are all fine.
