Nissan Murano Visibility Safety Report | Mar 09, 2010

Reported on Mar 09, 2010

2006 NISSAN MURANO DRIVERS SEAT AND SUN VISOR. MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO HAS HAD TWO PARTS FAIL THAT I BELIEVE ARE A SAFETY CONCERN AND WARRANT A RECALL. THE 1ST PART IS THE DRIVERS SEAT. I'M NOT A LARGE PERSON BUT THE LEFT SIDE SEAT BRACKET BROKE AND NOW MY SEAT ROCKS LEFT AND RIGHT. I CAN'T RAISE THE SEAT UP AND DOWN BECAUSE ONLY THE RIGHT SIDE WORKS. THE SEAT ALSO BOUNCES UP AND DOWN. APPARENTLY THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE MURANO AND NISSAN'S EXCUSE IS WEAR AND TEAR. SERIOUSLY??? NISSAN OFFERED TO REPLACE THE DRIVER'S SEAT FOR $1000 +. THE SECOND PART THAT HAS FAILED IS THE DRIVER'S SUN VISOR. WHENEVER I HIT A BUMP, THE SUN VISOR SWIVELS DOWN AND TOTALLY BLOCKS THE DRIVERS VIEW OUT THE WINDOW. THIS IS NOT SAFE. NISSAN OFFERED TO REPLACE THE SUN-VISOR FOR $350. *TR
