Nissan Maxima 1993 Electrical System Alternator/generator/regulatorNissan Maxima 1993 Electrical System Alternator/generator/regulator Review #10142219 NISSAN MAXIMA 1993 car safety problem was reported on Nov 02, 2005.NISSAN MAXIMA 1993, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR . my car was losing power. car would not start and my radio hasn't worked for the last year. i have had to replace my alternator in my nissan maxima for the third time in approximately 6 years. when i purchased the last alternator on 11/02/05 from advance auto parts. i received a printout that there have been several factory service bulletins produced by nissan to correct charging system problems on maximas. i've called nissan and they have told me that there is no type of recall on this problem. the problems are poor connections: the battery wire may not be able to carry all the current from the alternator to the battery. the symptoms of this include alternator overheating, alternator failure, and electrical power loss. the other problem is poor charge at idle: some maximas do not charge well at idle, even though the alternator is functioning properly. i believe that nissan needs to put these vehicles on a recall notice. *jb.Mileage was 77450 miles. i took my 2005 nissan xterra to a dealership in long beach ca, to have them run a diagnostic test on why my check engine would go off. I drove off having more problems then a had when i took my vehicle into be tested. i paid 1'323.28 for a battery what does it mean when I put my 2004 Nissan Altima in drive and it takes it about 10 or seconds before it will go into drive. The weird thing is I can go into reverse with no problem or lower gear it goes I have a problem with my 2005 Nissan TPMS. After about 10 miles, the reading on the display changes to "**" for 1 of the 4 tires and the low pressure warning light comes on. I've checked pressure on the tires and they are all fine. I have a 01 Niss UD 2600 No Fuel aqt the inj pump but fuel getting to the pump its been very cold and i have changed both filters. i was told there is a crank sensor in the inj. pump where is it?? And How do i check it
