Nissan 350z 2004 EquipmentNissan 350z 2004 Equipment Review #10095988 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Oct 01, 2004.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with EQUIPMENT . i own a 2004 enthusiast model 350z . during our vacation this year we noticed a roaring noise coming from the front tires. we only had 6,507 miles on the car at this time. my husband and i at first thought this was due to the surface of the road we were driving on. however after driving another 3,000 miles the noise got louder and at this point we were also noticing a skipping problem with the radio/ cd player.so we decided to take the car to the nissan dealer upon returning home. at the dealership my husband was told that due to the fact that this is a sports car and has a different type of suspension and tires , we could expect to replace the tires very often on this car. the tires are worn unevenly and feathering on the inside tread. to myself , this appears to be a safety issue, as the car hanldling has been affected by this uneven wear. i did my research on this issue and discovered that the 2003 350z had the same problem. nissan has not fixed the problem, the only thing they've done is made a minor adjustment in the suspension which allows us to drive a little longer on these tires. i know that nissan is aware of this and is not making any effort to correct the problem or replace the tires. a consumer has a right to expect the the product and all its parts to meet a certain level of performance. nissan has not acted in good faith to its' customers who have purchased this vehicle. no one in their right mind would purchase a car knowing that they had to replace the tires at every 3-5,000 miles. especially not at the price of each tire on this vehicle. this is , at the least unethical, and may become criminal upon the death of a consumer who dies as a direct result of this problem. *ak.Mileage was 6705 miles. Nissan 350z 2004 Suspension FrontNissan 350z 2004 Suspension Front Review #10096083 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Oct 14, 2004.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SUSPENSION:FRONT . front tires worn on inside due to faulty alignnment from factory. car was purchased new in december 2003. during second service ( 7,400 miles) at purchasing dealership tires were balanced and inspected. service department said nothing was abnormal with the tires. now 5 months later ( 13,000 miles) purchasing dealer refused to even look at auto when i told them there was noise coming from front end and that tires were wearing on the inside. i was told by purchasing dealers service department to call nissan north america or to call bridgestone tire company to have it fixed. i in turn called nissan north america and was told by them to take the car in to another dealership for inspection. i took the car in yesterday and was told i needed new tires for the front and that the alignment would be adjusted when the new tires were installed. i was also told that it would be up to nissan north america to approve this request for tires and service. i am afraid the bad alignment may cause tire failure due to the excessive wear on the inside. i check my tires weekly to ensure no cords are showing on the inside and that they are properly inflated. all 2003 350 z's have a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on the alignment and tire replacements due to the same problems, yet nissan north america has not addressed the 2004 issues even though they are the same as the 2003. you can't expect consumers to purchase 2 new tires once a year because nissan can't repair an alignment problem on their flagship 350z..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 13000 miles. Nissan 350z 2004 Suspension Multiple AxleNissan 350z 2004 Suspension Multiple Axle Review #10126219 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on June 22, 2005.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SUSPENSION:MULTIPLE AXLE . at approximately 8,000 miles, the car started growling and vibrating during breaking. the nissan service manager stated that the alignment had not been set correctly at the factory. the alignment was set correctly and i was given 4 new tires since the car was under warranty. the nissan service manager stated that this had been as issue with the 2003 350z as well. nissan had extended the warranty to 3 years or 36,000 miles for the 2003 models. at approximately 15,000 miles the car once again started to growl and vibrate during breaking. the car was taken into nissan for service. the nissan service manager stated that the tires are starting to cup. the nissan service manager had the alignment checked and it is still set correctly. the nissan service manager stated that this is a design flaw and nothing could be done to solve the problem. the service manager stated that she had called nissan and there is nothing they would do since the car was past the 12,000 warranty restriction - even though they had realigned the car and replaced all the tires at 8,000 miles. the only action that could be taken to slow down the destruction of the tires, since the front tires are a different size than the back tires, is to switch position of the two front tires as well as the two back tires. please note that does not fix the problem - it only delays the problem. .Mileage was 8000 miles. " the right front may be damaged and that i needed to take it to a body shop and have the frame bent". i took it to a tire dealer and they told me it was out of alignment. my front tires were replaced and a front end alignment done at 11,000 miles. only six months later at 16,500 the noise is still there. i took it to a differerent nissan dealer and they stated the alignment was wayyyy off. they did a 4 wheel alignment. i was again charged $70.00. i called nissan northamerica and althought they were responsive and talked to the dealer...... they ( nissan ) calm this is not a problem with the 2004. i took the car back a week later stating that it pulled to the right a little ( there is a tsb on this ). the dealer said it was do the low tire pressure. hmm they just had it in last week and this week the tires are already low? the checked the alignment and stated it was ok. the car drives ok... but the noise is still there especially at 20 to 30 when breaking. only time will tell but i am not satisfied nissan is doing what is needed to fix this problem. tires don't wear out with 11,000 miles. .Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):JN1AZ36A04T. Nissan 350z 2004 Engine And Engine Cooling Exhaust System Manifold/header/muffler/tail PipeNISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Nov 14, 2005.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE . i purchased a brand new 2004 nissan 350z on december 20th, 2004. the car had 12 miles on it at the time of purchase, i have been the sole owner of the vehicle. anyway i just want to report a problem that the manufacture just doesn't want to admit or deal with. basically i started having idle issue somewhere in the spring of 2005 with roughly 3000 miles on the car. the car would start to develop a rough idle with the ac off. when i first noticed the problem and contacted the nissan, they tried to tell me its normal as the 350z is their "sports car". not believe in what they said, i started looking at other 350z and other nissan that use the same engine for the same issue. it turns out i couldn't find any with the problem, i have had to live with the "sports car" not idling problem since then. when i contacted nissan about it time after time, they eventually blacklisted me and not return any of my phone call. a complaint with the bbb was no help neither. the problem continued to get worse until november 16th when the car stalled for the first time under the rough idle. the car was running and was sitting at the stop light. after a few seconds of rough idling, the engine just gave out and died on the spot. it refired right after, but it was potentially hazardous as the light turned green right when it stalled. i was lucky not to be crush by the cars behind me on that instance. since then, the problem pop up from time to time, i would say a total of 10 times in the past three months. can you please help, the problem is not safe as the car could just die any second. please call me at 860-2268633 if you have questions. Nissan 350z 2004 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Antilock Control Unit/moduleNissan 350z 2004 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Antilock Control Unit/module Review #10157187 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on May 08, 2006.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE . i've had my car over a year without any problem. i replaced the rear tires five weeks ago (not the fronts, which tread depth was fine), with the same size tires as the stock rubber. in the past two weeks the front brakes started locking and releasing, locking and releasing, but it's only been on freeway ramps, on an incline or decline, and in a curve. it makes what i describe as a groaning sound, which i associate with the brake pads clamping down, causing a reverberation in the whole assembly. the "slip" light in the dash comes on when it occurs. at first it only seemed to be the right, front, but it just started doing it on the left, front as well. i live in florida, so snow is not an issue. it's done it on wet and dry roads, although my heart pounds more when it's on a wet road and the front end slides in a curve. i've only applied moderate brake pressure, not nearly enough to cause the antilock brake system to act. the dealer evaluated the car today and stated no "codes" came up on their computer diagnostic, and they stated the brake pads and rotors, and brakes generally were in good working order. so, nothing has been done to change the problem. my theory is that the vdc (vehicle dynamic control) system is flawed, and actually causes the brakes to lock, causing an uncontrolled slide/skid that is extremely dangerous. the brakes lock only for maybe a second with each lock, release, then lock, and release. however, a full second of locked brakes is a long time in traffic, in a curve. there is a posting at www.350zmotoring.com by username gilvalas from 2/10/03, which sounds similar to my complaint. *nm.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 10400 miles. Nissan 350z 2004 Wheels RimNissan 350z 2004 Wheels Rim Review #10215949 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Jan 07, 2008.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with WHEELS:RIM . i purchased a new 350z car from antioch (california) nissan dealership in 2004 with chromed alloy wheels. in addition, i purchased an extended warranty. on the below date a vacaville nissan mechanic was test driving my vehicle when the right front wheel cracked around the lug nuts and fell off in their parking lot causing damage to my vehicle and unrepairable damage to the rim. nissan corporation has issued bulletins to the dealership not to chrome alloy wheels for safety and performance reasons. i was not notified of this status...only after the accident did the vacaville service manager give me a copy of their bulletin dated 9/07. it stated my warranty is void as a result of the dealership chroming the alloy wheels as verified by the corporate warranty office . i have contacted both dealerships and their corporate consumer affairs office to no avail. how many other cars were sold with unsafe chromed alloyed wheels? how do i retrieve my out of pocket expenses of car repairs, car rental, and replacement of defective wheels? *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. Nissan 350z 2004 TiresNissan 350z 2004 Tires Review #10220862 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Jan 27, 2008.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with TIRES . i was involved in an accident which was very similar to one i had 2 years ago in the same car, only i do not remember as much as i do from the first one. the first accident occurred approximately august of 2006. i was driving on the freeway in very light traffic, when all of a sudden my car started to fish-tail. i was on the fast lane and hit the center divider and spun and hit it again. i managed to get over to the shoulder without hitting anyone or anyone hitting me. my car was crashed on the left side mainly near left tire and the bumper, some damage was on the left rear tire as well. i had the car repaired and the tires were changed. the second accident i do not remember as much because the impact was stronger and it knocked me unconscious and it was raining. the damage on the car was very similar to the first accident only there is alot more body damage. the highway patrol said that i had hit the center divider and spun. the car is not safe at all and there is a no reason that a sports car should be fish-tailing or lose treading in the rain. these cars should be made resistant to such weather and should tires should not be balding so quickly. the 2003 and 2004 nissans have had recalls for premature feathering/weathering of the tires. the tires tend to start balding too soon, thus causing not enough traction. this clearly would cause the car to fish-tail. *tr.1 person(s) were injured. Nissan 350z 2004 Electronic Stability ControlNissan 350z 2004 Electronic Stability Control Review #10251465 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Nov 20, 2008.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL . while driving on a winding stretch of a two lane highway my 350z went into an unexpected 360 degree spin. it was a little misty outside. the road was damp, but not wet. the temperature was in the low 40's deg f. i was traveling at about 45 mph in a 45 mph zone. i had just barely started into an average left turn (i.e., not a tight turn) when the car started to spin. i took my foot off the accelerator, but did not brake. i turned the steering wheel opposite of the direction of the spin, but the car did not straighten out. when it appeared i was going to run into the side of mountain head on, i turned the steering wheel in the direction of the spin, which, as expected, caused it to spin a little faster. the car ended up on the shoulder of the opposite lane. fortunately, i didn't hit anything. i checked the tires afterward and they appeared normal. i went back over the section of road, but saw nothing unusual. this happened about three weeks ago. i haven¿t noticed anything since then, but i haven't pushed it either. to me it seems this should not have happened and that even if it did, the dynamic stability control system should have straightened the car out. i have owned this car for more than 4 years. from my experience under normal circumstances i should have been able to easily have negotiated this turn at least 15 mph faster than i was driving. this is a road that i travel often. i took the car to the dealer and gave them copies of similar nhtsa complaints for this car. the dealer was unaware of a generic problem that would cause this problem. the dealer will check with the nissan rep and get back to me. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 96000 miles. Nissan 350z 2004 Seat BeltsNissan 350z 2004 Seat Belts Review #10268543 NISSAN 350Z 2004 car safety problem was reported on Jan 18, 2006.NISSAN 350Z 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SEAT BELTS . i was involved in a near fatal auto accident, which nissan didn't report to the death and injury reports done every quarter per annual year. the accident almost left me paralyzed and i broke over 6 bones in various body part locations due to the car not living up to the "safety" features the maker boasted to have which falsely lead me to buy the car and nearly killed me during an accident, at no fault of mine. the accident was on 1-18-2006, the vehicle a total loss, and occurred in arizona on interstate 51 in phoenix az. i was rear ended, while sitting in traffic pile-up during rush hour traffic. the other driver was estimated to be driving upon impact at 43 mph. i had my sealtbelt on, which broke my collarbone, and a rib. i also ruptured a silicone breast implant from the force of the car into the steering wheel. the air bags didn't deploy, the leg and feet compartment for the driver area caused one foot i had on the brake, to break the sessamoid bone; the rt knee was thrown into the steering column and i broke my patella and tore my meniscus. both required surgery, both on opposite legs. i required surgery for the ruptured implant. my neck was fractured and the blow and whiplash from the inadequate head restraint caused vertigo for nearly 3 months. i suffered brain bruising and swelling from hitting my head against the headrest after being thrust forward without an airbag to cushion the jolting of the neck and spine. my thoracic spine was fractured, and remains that way since i've opted not to have surgery. the lumbar spine has a ruptured disk and developed a mass from the impact blunt force trauma that developed from the other drivers car hitting my rear end of the car and the seat thrusting all the contents of the vehicles structure into the seat behind where i sat. i had surgery on the removal of the mass and the lumbar spine repair 3 times. my life was completely destroyed as a result of the false misleading claims the nissan manufacturer and dealer claimed. *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 1 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 6000 miles. i took my 2005 nissan xterra to a dealership in long beach ca, to have them run a diagnostic test on why my check engine would go off. I drove off having more problems then a had when i took my vehicle into be tested. i paid 1'323.28 for a battery what does it mean when I put my 2004 Nissan Altima in drive and it takes it about 10 or seconds before it will go into drive. The weird thing is I can go into reverse with no problem or lower gear it goes I have a problem with my 2005 Nissan TPMS. After about 10 miles, the reading on the display changes to "**" for 1 of the 4 tires and the low pressure warning light comes on. I've checked pressure on the tires and they are all fine. I have a 01 Niss UD 2600 No Fuel aqt the inj pump but fuel getting to the pump its been very cold and i have changed both filters. i was told there is a crank sensor in the inj. pump where is it??
