Mitsubishi Lancer 2008 Suspension FrontMitsubishi Lancer 2008 Suspension Front Review #10203502 MITSUBISHI LANCER 2008 car safety problem was reported on Aug 21, 2007.MITSUBISHI LANCER 2008, manufactured by MITSUBISHI MOTORS NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SUSPENSION:FRONT . i bought the 2008 mitsubishi lancer es a few weeks ago. every time i back out of the driveway the front end of the car 'bottoms out" and scrapes along the pavement. i brought the car back to mark mitsubishi. they checked out my car and although they admitted that the underside of the front of the car was scraped up the service advisor said everything "spec'd" out just like the other new cars on the lot. i asked if the more expensive versions of the 2008 lancer had a ?beefed up? suspension and was told; ? no all 2008 lancer?s had the same suspension.? i have since learned, from a review of the car on auto mall usa that the gts model has ?firmer coil springs, shock absorbers and bushings and larger stabilizer bars than the de and es models.? i took the service manager, nathan boisvert, for a test drive and backing out of any nearby driveway, even at 1 mile per hour the car "bottomed out" as the front tires rolled over the very small gutter that is common in residential neighborhoods in arizona. he said there was nothing the dealer could do other than report this to mitsubishi since they did not have any "tech bulletins" on this issue. rather than admit this was a design defect he told me this was a "characteristic" of the car. he suggested i turn the wheel and back out at a 45% angle so only one wheel at a time would go over the gutter and thereby avoid "bottoming out." i called mitsubishi customer assistance and opened a case [# 1-221800146]. they called me back a day later and told me there was nothing wrong with my car and they would not do anything. in the meantime i checked with nathan and he took another new 2008 mitsubishi lancer from the lot and it does the same thing. all i wanted was to have it fixed. from my viewpoint it is obvious that the suspension is not stiff enough. i would think that mitsubishi would want to get in front of this and fix the problem before it becomes a major recall but apparently they have there heads in the sand. *jb.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 35 miles. 1998 3000gt sl, automatic transmission periodically loses power when shifting into passing at 50 to 60 miles per hour. Had transmission rebuilt but the problem is still happening. Any ideas to the cause? 1998 mitsubishi galant seems to be having anti-theft problems. My guess, what the car is doing, is starting up, being able to drive it, but it kind of feels funny, I get to where I'm going, and turn off the car, when I come back, it won't start. I My son has a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer LS with about 120, 000 miles on it. The blend door is stck and i need to find the blend door kit for it. Does a nybody know where i might get it! 2003 Mitsubishi Montero sport, gets cold horn goes off and finally breaks and seems to be on most of the time now. Mitsubishi won't recall to fix their garbage and want to charge you 1K to fix, but that just makes me a 1 time customer. Mitsubi No recall for the knob. There is a recall on the gearing for the air blend door on the airbox under the dash right above the gas pedal. it has improved geometry so you dont have to exert as much force on the knob for the air blend door to move. a mine is broke too. cant change it to defrost mode. just blows out cold air in my face Temp. control knob is broke. the knob to choose from feet defog, etc only turns a little bit. its all jacked up. 2003 lancer i have a 99 mits eclipse GS '99 model and i pushed a latch on the inside of the passenger door and now it wont go back so now the door wont close.. anyone have any ideas how to release it so that my will close thanks much appreciated... Whats the problem with the endeavor windshield it keeps cracking this is my third time replacing it in my 2004 2002 Galant. Won't take fuel through the fuel neck at a normal pace. Keeps backing up. Has all emmision and EVAP checked and all are functioning. I replaced fuel filler neck and made sure all vent hoses were clear. What else could it be? Has anyone had problems with their check engine lights?
