THERE IS A HOLLOW OPENING BEHIND CARPET IN FLOOR UNDER GAS PEDAL. IN LESS THAN 10,000 MILES, A HOLE WORE THROUGH THE CARPET. NOW HEELS OF SHOES (JUST NORMAL WOMEN'S SHOES, NOT SPIKE HEELS!) GET STUCK WHILE DRIVING. AN ACCIDENT IS INEVITABLE IF THE PROBLEM IS NOT REPAIRED. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY OTHER MODEL CARS, MANY WITH WORN CARPETING, BUT NONE HAD A DESIGN FLAW LIKE THE 2009 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE. I HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO CRASHING SEVERAL TIMES. THE LADY CROSSED TWO LANES OF TRAFFIC AND RAN A RED LIGHT AND HIT MY CAR ON DRIVERS SIDE FRONT INCLUDING THE DOOR. DOOR WILLN'T OPEN AND AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. THE CAR WAS TOWED CAUSE IT COULDN'T START AND WASN'T DRIVABLE. SEAT BELTS DIDN'T LOCK SO THE PEOPLE IN MY CAR HIT STEERING, DASHBOARD AND BACK OF THE SEATS. MY CAR WAS HIT IN THE FRONT IN DEC. 5, 2013 AND SAME THING HAPPENED. AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND SEATBELTS DIDN'T LOCK. FROM THE ACCIDENT BEFORE I MADE A COMPLAINT WITH MITSUBISHI AND THEY DONE NOTHING. MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 2009 car safety problem was reported on Aug 05, 2014.MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 2009, manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. had a problem with AIR BAGS . THERE HAS BEEN NO INCIDENT YET. HOWEVER IF THIS VEHICLE GETS IN AN ACCIDENT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT DEPLOY CORRECTLY. THE DASH PAD IN FRONT OF THE AIR BAG HAS COME UNGLUED AND IS BLOCKING THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG IF IT WERE TO DEPLOY. THIS DASH PAD IS STICKING UP 4 INCHES IN FRONT OF RIGHT DASH AIRBAG. THESE SHOULD BE REPLACED ON ALL AFFECTED UNITS. I HAVE SEEN OTHER BRANDS DASH PADS LIFT AROUND DEFROST HOLES, ESPECIALLY GM IN THE 90S, THIS IS THE FIRST I HAVE SEEN WHERE IF THE PAD STARTS LIFTING IT WILL BLOCK THE AIRBAG. THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PROBLEM WITH PADDED DASHES ( ESSENTIALLY A POLY FOAM GLUED TO PLASTIC WITH A VINYL OVERLAY GLUED TO IT) WHEN THE FOAM STARTS TO DETERIORATE IT TURNS TO POWDER AND COMES LOOSE/LIFTS.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 102623 miles. DRIVING IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA AND HIT MY BRAKES TO AVOID A CAR STOPPING ABRUPTLY. MY BRAKES WENT SOFT AND I HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID SLAMMING INTO THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. MY BRAKES REMAINED VERY SOFT WITH LITTLE TO NO BRAKING POWER FOR AT LEAST A DAY. THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE IN A MONTH. THE BRAKES WHEN PRESSED WERE VERY SOFT AND WHISTLED WHEN I LIFTED MY FOOT. 1998 3000gt sl, automatic transmission periodically loses power when shifting into passing at 50 to 60 miles per hour. Had transmission rebuilt but the problem is still happening. Any ideas to the cause? 1998 mitsubishi galant seems to be having anti-theft problems. My guess, what the car is doing, is starting up, being able to drive it, but it kind of feels funny, I get to where I'm going, and turn off the car, when I come back, it won't start. I My son has a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer LS with about 120, 000 miles on it. The blend door is stck and i need to find the blend door kit for it. Does a nybody know where i might get it! 2003 Mitsubishi Montero sport, gets cold horn goes off and finally breaks and seems to be on most of the time now. Mitsubishi won't recall to fix their garbage and want to charge you 1K to fix, but that just makes me a 1 time customer. Mitsubi No recall for the knob. There is a recall on the gearing for the air blend door on the airbox under the dash right above the gas pedal. it has improved geometry so you dont have to exert as much force on the knob for the air blend door to move. a mine is broke too. cant change it to defrost mode. just blows out cold air in my face Temp. control knob is broke. the knob to choose from feet defog, etc only turns a little bit. its all jacked up. 2003 lancer i have a 99 mits eclipse GS '99 model and i pushed a latch on the inside of the passenger door and now it wont go back so now the door wont close.. anyone have any ideas how to release it so that my will close thanks much appreciated... Whats the problem with the endeavor windshield it keeps cracking this is my third time replacing it in my 2004 2002 Galant. Won't take fuel through the fuel neck at a normal pace. Keeps backing up. Has all emmision and EVAP checked and all are functioning. I replaced fuel filler neck and made sure all vent hoses were clear. What else could it be? Has anyone had problems with their check engine lights? I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Oulander the serive light will not go out, the diagnostics state a evap leak yet despite all testing there is no leak detected.
