My 2005 Mercury Mountaineer also has a crack around he circular Mercury emblem on the back liftgate. I noticed this a couple of years ago and have since noticed that several Mountaineers have the same crack. On the interior, almost everything mad Have a 1996 Mercury Cougar and the steering shakes either brakes applied or not.I have changed rotors and had them turned , new tires, new brakes,alignment and nothing seems to mater.
