My 2000 mercury villager overheated , when I pulled over and looked under the hood the radiator hose was blown off. looks like a pressure problem --- is it a thermostat or waterpump . I took the Thermostat of and put it in boiling water and it op My 2003 Mountaineer has a split in the liftgate .I want to know whay cause that and how can it be repaired. I also have a 88 cougar murcery and the head gasket went out but replaced them but it still wants to over heat what do I do wheres the tur signal relay on mercury mistique I have a exhaust type smell coming through the AC vents when the car is sitting at a traffic light.  Any ideas of where to start looking? My 2001 Sable gear shifter gets stuck once in a while. I have to push on breaks and move shifter out of park position for a while until it catches. Then I can drive.
