LEXUS GS 1995 car safety problem was reported on Aug 01, 2005.LEXUS GS 1995, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION . 1995 LEXUS GS300 4-DOOR SEDAN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE GEAR,IGNITION COULD BE TURNED OFF AND KEY REMOVED , RESULTING IN UNSAFE MOVEMENT OF VEHICLE. NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT, CLASHES, INJURIES: DRIVER TURNED IGNITION OFF, REMOVED KEY, LOCKED ALL THE DOORS AND WENT INSIDE A STORE. UPON RETURN THE DRIVER DISCOVERED THE VEHICLE PROTRUDING INTO THE INTERSECTION OF A 4-LANE INTERSECTION. GEAR SHIFT HAD BEEN LEFT IN THE DRIVE POSITION AND THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF AND KEY REMOVED. OF COURSE, WITNESSES REPORTED THEY COULD NOT STOP THE CAR AS IT ROLLED ON DOWN INTO THE STREET. PROBLEM REPORTED TO STERLING MCCALL LEXUS OF HOUSTON, TEXAS IN 2005 WHILE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ROUTINE SERVICE. DEALERSHIP TOLD THE OWNER THE COST WOULD BE ALMOST $1,000.00 TO REPAIR. OWNER OPTED OUT DUE TO ESTIMATED COST OF REPAIR. NUMBER OF FAILURES: FAILURE IS RECURRING AND COULD BE REPRODUCED 100% OF TIMES ATTEMPTED. REMEMBERING TO PUT THE GEAR IN PARK WAS THE KEY. IT WAS GETTING MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT AS THE DRIVER GOT OLDER AND OLDER. ALL MEMORY RELATED JOKING ASIDE. THIS SERIES OF EVENTS COULD HAVE HAD A VERY SERIOUSLY GRIM OUTCOME. I OWN A 1995 LEXUS GS300 THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON SUSPENSION FRONT ARM LOWER BALL JOINT FOR EVERY YEAR OF THE FIRST GENERATION GS300 1993-1997. SOMEHOW MY LEXUS GS300 DID NOT MAKE THE RECALL, BECAUSE MY VIN# DID NOT FALL WITHIN THE RANGE. 12/21/2007 WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK MY DRIVERSIDE FRONT WHEEL SEPARATE AT THE BALL JOINT. FORTUNATELY I WAS NOT HURT, AND I WASN'T ON THE HIGHWAY, BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS SITUATION. windshield casing on drivers side has pulled away from frame causing air noises. Do alot of 2010's have this issue? I have a steering column that squeaks when I turn my '01 Lexus RX-300. All of this stuff is starting to make. My husband was driving a 2001 lexus gs 1999 Lexus RX300.....Passenger seat belt light keep blinking when somebody seat on the front.Thank you for your help. 93 gs300, out of the blue,, car died, towed home, started ran fine, 5 min. later dies. got to run again, 7 min dies. noticed with key on all the injectors are clicking irratically, then while trouble shooting,, everything, comes to a stop, when recently, on my 1992 SC400, a loud beep apparantly coming from the right door speaker comes immediately after starting the car. Dealership said not to worry, many owner are complaining about the same thing. When there are enough complaints Lexus will do more research to resolve the pro I have a 2009 Lexus es350 and when i break at 60 mph it has a shimming upon breaking on the driver side. What can be the problem? I have rotated the tires and check the break pads and examine the rotor and with the cannot see any visual issuse.
