I have a 2007 Kia Optima. The ignition locked and we tried the other key, turning the wheel left to right. Rocking the car forwards & back. Finally I got online and someone suggested dry lock graphite and a rubber mallet. I finally worked al I took my 2001 KIA Optima in for an oil change today and was told/shown that the sub frame is so gone on one side that they would not even let me drive it out of the shop. I called the KIA dealership and they told me it was not covered. My car is 2004 Optima 4 cyl: Have problem with front breaks locking. Problem starts slowly as you drive. After a while the break pedal becomes very stiff and the brakes lock up solid. Only solution is to let the car sit for an hour. In my internet 04 kia rio 1.6 with automatic trans wont move in reverse. but its fine in the other gears. whats wrong? Yes you can weld in a new piece of frame. I have just welded my kia 99.
I took 1 meters of the rear of another car and weldeded on mine.
Now it is like new..
