My 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee looses almost all power steering when moderate to heavy brake pressure is applied, why? please help. Steering fluid leak, so got the pump replaced along with serpentine belt and hose. Now when I turn steering wheel to the right it makes a honking noise coming from steering column. It's not hard to turn but also seems like I hear a whirring soun 1995 jeep grand cherokee 4X4. put jeep in park and when into the store. I came out and went to start but no turn over or sound of starting. lights came on the dash. I noticed the steering wheel is not locked like it does in park but the gear shift I have a 2010 jeep patriot. When I get around 50-60 mph it causes the steering wheel to shake violently. what work do I need done to fix this? I have a 2007 Jeep Compass. It was purchased new.
