Isuzu Rodeo Fuel System, Other Storage Fuel Gauge System Safety Report | June 08, 2004

Reported on June 08, 2004

AT APPROXIMATELY 80,000 MILES THE GAS GAUGE ON THE ISUZU RODEO STOPS FUNCTIONING. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED PROBLEM, I ASK EVERY RODEO/HONDA PASSPORT OWNER THAT I MEET IF THEIR GAS GAUGE WORKS. TO DATE, I'VE ASKED APPROXIMATELY 20 INDIVIDUALS. ALL WHO OWN A RODEO OR PASSPORT IN THE 80000 MILES RANGE HAVE NON-FUNCTIONING GAS GAUGES. THIS CAN'T BE COINCIDENCE, THIS CAN ONLY BE A MANUFACTURING OR COMPONENT DEFECT. I HAVE NOT REPAIRED THE PROBLEM, SO I WOULD ASSUME THE FAULTY PART/PARTS ARE STILL ON THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM. *AK
