Isuzu Rodeo Fuel System, Other Storage Fuel Gauge System Safety Report | Feb 20, 2004

Reported on Feb 20, 2004

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND FUEL LIGHT BLINKS ALMOST CONTINUOUSLY AS A RESULT OF INCORRECT INFORMATION BEING SENT BY THE FUEL SENSOR/SENDING UNIT. THE LIGHTS WILL COME ON EVEN WHEN THE TANK IS FULL! ALSO, WITH LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON AN ENGINE WARRANTED TO 125,000, I AM BURNING OIL AT THE RATE OF 1 QUART EVERY 2,000 MILES. I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO A DEALER SINCE THE REPORTS I HAVE READ SAY THAT THE DELAERSHIPS SIMPLY SAY THAT IS NORMAL. I HAVE OWNED CARS AS LONG AS 150,000 MILES, AND I CERTAINLY DON'T THINK THIS OIL CONSUMPTION IS NORMAL !!*AK
