Infiniti I35 2002 Power TrainInfiniti I35 2002 Power Train Review #10457212 INFINITI I35 2002 car safety problem was reported on Aug 11, 2011.INFINITI I35 2002, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with POWER TRAIN . i have had two transmissions in this 2002 infiniti i35 and now may have to have the third. summer of 2011 i experienced intermittent issues with the engine racing and the transmission apparently disengaging, with no power to the wheels. first time i took it to the dealer they couldn't detect any problems as there was no service engine soon warning on the dash board so their computer couldn't detect a problem. happened again and the technician told me not to turn the ignition off when i got to the shop but to let the engine keep running. he drove the car back to the shop and hooked it up to the computer. the problem was diagnosed as the torque converter clutch function code along with p0720 and p1574, check engine light concer ⿿ ip006, (failing), and i was told i had to have both a torque converter and a transmission. the price for a new one was too high and i opted for a used torque converter/transmission and now, 5/2/2012, less than a year later i am having the same problem as before. several times this loss of power to the wheels has happened when pulling into traffic and is extremely dangerous. another issue is the suspension and steering. i have had to replace the struts because the front end would vibrate veer left and right and lose some control over the steering when driving over rough pavement. even after strut replacement the issue still persists. august of 2011 around the same time transmission was replaced i had to replace the radiator which burst at a seam. it was replaced before the transmission and at a different shop, and not at the dealer's shop. *js.Mileage was 99455 miles. My 2004 INFINITI Q45 gear stays in 3rd speed from start. It will drive slow and can't pull fast. Is it an interlock problem ? It is probably worn bushings on the control arms. You can try spaying a silicon spray on them, or just have them replaced gas gauge reads empty when its full.How can I fix? I too have a 2010 g37 convertible and has been in the body shop twice to repair symetrical dents on the middle panel i have a 1998 infiniti i30 and it is hard to start sometimes but when i drive it down the road sometimes it will just die i put it in neture and crank it it cranks just fine little while later it dies again but it always cranks right back up what Infiniti fx35 2003 My car has been losing heat off and on for a couple months now. Has happened a number of times.? my car is shaking replace the electrical part of the ignition switch,it unscrews/seperates from the key part of the switch. mine did the same thing, i bought the part at the dealer for about $34.00, the contacts within the electrical part of switch become bur at random times my car just wont start. after sitting it starts back up. not today . while driving down the road , it started shaking and smoking and when i gave it some gas it didnt do anything. ended up getting a tow now its in my drive way and
