HONDA VT750C 2005 car safety problem was reported on July 30, 2005.HONDA VT750C 2005, manufactured by HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.) had a problem with POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION . THIS HAS EXISTED SINCE NEW. THE TRANSMISSION DURING ACCELERATION AND JUST AFTER SHIFTING TO A HIGHER GEAR WILL RELEASE, REV IN A FALSE NEUTRAL AND JUMP BACK INTO GEAR, MOST TIMES TO THE NEXT LOWER GEAR. THIS MOSTLY HAPPENS BETWEEN THIRD AND FOURTH GEAR WHEN ACCELERATING HARD BUT HAS HAPPENED GOING FROM FOURTH TO FIFTH. THIS CAUSES THE BACK WHEEL TO LOCK UP AND SKID TILL RPM MATCHES WITH WHEEL TRACTION. HONDA FIRST ADJUSTED THE CLUTCH ON THE HANDLEBARS, DIDN'T WORK. TWO WEEKS LATER THEY HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS AND CHANGED OUT THE ENTIRE SHIFTING LINKAGE BUT AFTER ABOUT 70 MILES THE SAME PROBLEM RECURRED THREE TIMES AN ALWAYS GOING FROM THIRD TO FOURTH. IT WAS BACK AT HONDA (HOUSE OF POWER, PALM BAY, FL) AGAIN THIS WEEK AND THEY TOOK IT FOR A FIVE MINUTE RIDE AND SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I HAD EXPLAINED THE INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND THAT IT HAD HAPPENED ACROSS MILES OF DRIVING. IT ALSO SOMETIMES REVS A LITTLE LIKE THE CLUTCH IS SLIPPING. THEIR ANSWER IS SINCE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THEY CAN DO NOTHING FOR ME. *NM.....AK.0 person(s) died.Mileage was 15 miles. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):JH2RC50395M. DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER FELL OFF THE NEW MOTORCYCLE WHILE DRIVING 10-15 MPH. THE CONTACT PLANS TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND HONDA TODAY CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. UPDATED 7/3/2006 - THE DEALER REATTACHED THE CALIPER AND CHECKED ALL OTHER MAJOR COMPONENTS TO SEE IF THEY WERE TORQUED TO SPECS. THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THAT THE FRONT FENDER BOLTS AND THE BOLTS TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WERE LOOSE. ALL BOLTS WERE RE-TORQUED. *NM.Mileage was 292 miles. My 94 GL 1500 sends off a vibration when you let off the gas...traveling at 80-90 +mph or so it will rumble until you slow to about 60 mph ....a little scary, it makes me think its going to lock up...I had a previous 94 gl that did the same thing my 2003 Honda Accord started with replacing power steering pump then power steering hose{recall} now I have a leaking power steering rack seems all connected to me should be a recall for the rack also? Is it possbile for wheel cyclinder to be leaking after only 20,000 miles on a 2003 Civic Honda? 2005 Honda CRV - Front struts noisy over small bumps in road Since new problems have included pull to the right, grinding noise from rear diff, crack in windhshield all across the bottom of the glass from side to side no chipping just a long horizontal crack just above the dash line. Front struts make a hug the check engine light is staying on on my cbr1000rr 06. do you have to adjust the valves and fuel when you remove baffles from a 1995 honda 750 magna????
