Honda Odyssey 2010 Engine And Engine Cooling EngineHonda Odyssey 2010 Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Review #10304616 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on Nov 24, 2009.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.) had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE . we have a 2010 honda odyssey. i was looking ahead in traffic and notice the car in front of me had slam their brakes. i thought i had enough distances to stop, but my brakes locked up and i couldn't maneuver the steering wheel. i felt like i kept sliding instead of just stopping. the road conditions were dry and at dusk time during the day. the lady from the car that i barely hit, got out of her car and asked me how new was my vehicle. i told her that we had just got it. she said when i looked back to see you, you had enough room to stop but it looked like you kept sliding. she thought i should go and get my brakes checked. so i did at the same honda dealership and they said my brakes were find. i don't think that my brakes are fine. i had a 2004 odyssey and i felt safer with those brakes than i do with this brand new vehicle. one other thing about my vehicle since i am on here. we had taken a long trip just after we had bought the vehicle. a warning light came own. my husband looked in the manual it was in relation to emissions. it was the malfunction indicator lamp. we had called the dealership and they told us 2 things. take it in to get it looked at the nearest honda dealership and are we tightening our gas tank cap. so we took it to a dealership. they told us nothing was wrong. during our whole trip back we made sure our gas tank cap was tighten. to this vary day they say nothing is wrong, but the light comes and goes. they can't tell us what is wrong with it that there is nothing wrong. so i am on here concern about my family and i safety. *tr.Mileage was 3000 miles. "check engine" light did not come on, but dealer checked for stored codes, nothing found. dealer could not replicate the problem, said vehicle is safe to drive. dealer suggested foot was on gas pedal, or floor mat was on gas pedal. however, foot was on brake, and floor mat was secured to floor. we experienced the same issue multiple times with a 2001 odyssey, thought problem would have been fixed with this new model. dealer couldn't replicate the issue with the 2001 odyssey either. the consequence is a safety issue, as vehicle could hit something in front of it if brake is not applied firmly when trying to come to a stop. *tr.Mileage was 1120 miles. Honda Odyssey 2010 Service Brakes, HydraulicHonda Odyssey 2010 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Review #10348837 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on Feb 25, 2010.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.) had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC . i was driving between 30 and 40 mph on the highway in moderate traffic when traffic suddenly stopped at an off-ramp. i pushed my brake pedal all the way to the floor before feeling the brakes engage at all. it appeared that i had enough distance to stop, but my car continued to slide into the vehicle in front of me, and we were surprised to have the air bags deploying in our faces as we hit the other car. that car then hit the car in front of it. all 3 cars were undrivable. the other two drivers were transported to the hospital by ambulance, while my daughter and i had pain for 1-2 weeks following. i drove another car while my car was in the shop, and was shocked at the difference in the braking. driving the honda every day, i did not notice the changes in brake functioning over time. i literally had to push the pedal all the way to the floor to get the brakes to work. i just had the brake recall performed, and notice a drastic difference in stopping distance and in how little i have to push on the pedal now to get the brakes to engage. i was told by honda that the soft brakes would have had nothing to do with my accident because it doesn't have to do with actual brake functioning. *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 2 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 22000 miles. Honda Odyssey 2010 SteeringHonda Odyssey 2010 Steering Review #10456631 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on June 05, 2010.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.) had a problem with STEERING . vehicle pulls right and/or left depending on which way you turn into a curve, especially when rounding curves at high speeds on the freeway/highway. it has required multiple wheel alignments which really don't help. now it has issues with steering when at slow speeds, particularly in parking lots and/or going in/out of driveways, making loud clunking noises.i received notices regarding updates for which i took the vehicle into the dealer to complete. this did not help with the steering issues. when driving long distances it will cause arm fatigue due to fighting to keep the vehicle in the correct lane. i almost had a head on collision on highway 95 ( 2 lane hwy) in nevada due to the constant pulling and floating. i've been told it has to do with the road conditions, my driving, etc. none of this is true. the last time i took the van in, it changed lanes into the left turn lane just by letting go of the steering wheel. i was previously told that due to the natural curve of a street, the center being higher, that any vehicle will float slightly to the right if in the center lane (middle of the road). if this is true then i would like to know why my vehicle went left. is honda waiting for a serious accident before they deal with this issue? i am not exactly sure of the initial date and mileage when i first took this vehicle in for the steering issues, i only know it was very new (within 2 -3 mos. old). on subsequent visits the dealer was "unable to duplicate the problem". this seems to be their standard line. i have my maintenance, including tire rotations, done on a regular basis. *tr.Mileage was 2000 miles. Honda Odyssey 2010 Structure Body DoorHonda Odyssey 2010 Structure Body Door Review #10459770 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on Mar 31, 2010.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.) had a problem with STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR . this is an on-going safety issue and possible equipment defect involving the check rod mechanism on the front doors of the vehicle. the check rods do not provide adequate resistance to keep the door open. when the vehicle is parked and the front door is in the fully opened position, the door is prone to swing shut. this occurs in a variety of situations: on a level surface, if the door is pushed open, the door will sometimes swing back on the occupant; the fully opened door will also swing shut when the vehicle is on even a slight incline or is blown by a gust of wind. the check rods do not provide adequate resistance to keep the door in the open position when fully extended. these are very heavy doors and could cause serious injury. my wife and i have both experienced numerous instances in which the door has started swinging shut in each of these situations. i discussed this concern with the service manager at my local honda dealership and i reported this problem to american honda (case # [xxx]). i compared the front door check rod mechanism in the 2012 honda odyssey on the dealer?s lot. the check rod on the 2012 odyssey functioned properly, creating an appropriate level of resistance when the door was fully extended. the service manager ordered a set of 2012 odyssey check rods, with the hope they could be installed on my 2010 odyssey. unfortunately, the 2012 rods did not match and could not be installed on my vehicle. american honda has declined to take any remedial action. i strongly suspect that the defect in the check rod used in the 2010 odyssey model led to a redesign of the check rod mechanism for subsequent vehicle years. i respectfully request that your office check into this matter and address the defect in the 2010 odyssey check rod. thank you for your attention to this matter. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 500 miles. Honda Odyssey 2010 Child SeatHonda Odyssey 2010 Child Seat Review #10511591 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on May 12, 2013.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with CHILD SEAT . my toddler travels with me up to 4 round trips a day. in the last two months, her carseat has been getting harder and harder to unclick. you have to push very hard to get the red button to click open. sometimes one side would click open, then the next time both sides would stick. today, we were on an outing (for mother's day), and we spent over 45 mins. trying to unbuckle her from the seat. i tried very hard as well as a large gentleman nearby in the parking lot who happened to notice me in distress. my toddler became increasingly upset as it was getting scary for her. the man was also shocked to see that he wasn't getting it unbuckled with strong force. we debated cutting it apart; we also debated calling 911 to have the fire department unleash it. i ruled both out because we wanted to give it a few more minutes. so to get her out, we loosened up the straps as much as we could and squeezed her from the seat. we spent another ten minutes or so continually trying to unclick the belt. it's shocking to me - although this has happened before. it has never taken more than 3-5 minutes to unclick the harness. i've got no choice but to keep using the seat until we can get resolution from graco. i do plan on contacting them first thing in the morning (monday morning 5/13/2013) with the hope that they will allow me to receive another model of carseat - and return this one to them. i have not kept the receipt from the original purchase from target, so i'm certain they cannot exchange it. but in researching recalls about this model of carseat, i'm shocked once more that this has not been addressed. please issue a recall immediately. it's extremely unnerving to have this happen to your child. and even more, the worst case scenarios are already playing in my mind: what if we had a car fire or a car accident? if the buckle is a defect, what else is defective about this carseat? i'd like not to find out the hard way. please contact me for follow-up. thank you *tr.Honda Odyssey 2010 problem was reported in GAINESVILLE, VA. Honda Odyssey 2010 Unknown Or OtherHonda Odyssey 2010 Unknown Or Other Review #10669575 HONDA ODYSSEY 2010 car safety problem was reported on Jan 02, 2015.HONDA ODYSSEY 2010, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with UNKNOWN OR OTHER . today jan 2nd 2015 around 6:40am cst, my van engine suddenly made a loud noise with high acceleration. i was driving at the speed of 40 mile/hour where suddenly with acceleration it started increasing it speed from 40m/h to 45m/h, 50 m/h and that moment i was scared and afraid and wasn't sure what was going on as i was not driving my van in cruise control. it was very hard to break and i have to use my both the feet to break my van to bring to the complete stop. after stopping and putting my van in park, i turn off the engine wait for a minute and start the engine. van started but as it was parked and it started accelerating and i was not able to put in drive gear. transmission was completely lock. i called my insurance all state to arrange roadside assitance to tow my van to nearest honda dealer. currently it my van is at frank kent honda dealer (34000 west loop 820 south, fort worth, tx 76116). this is very scary experience and i was driving alone at that time. i have family with 2 kids 9 & 6 year old and i am worried what might have happened if i was driving with my kids in freeway at the speed limit or in the busy street with heavy or freezing icy road. anything might have happened and that makes me think that what nhtsa does to protect consumer, a family, a driver safety like me to protect and safeguard there life with not having proper safety standards in place to avoid this computer malfunction problem which i believe in my case. i don't want that nhtsa have to wait when many more incidence happens like this before taking any action. i want that nhtsa should take action right to work proactively to prevent this kind of incidence. i want to hear concrete answer and action taken against my complaint launch for both nhtsa and honda. thanks regards jayesh dave.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 93000 miles. My 94 GL 1500 sends off a vibration when you let off the gas...traveling at 80-90 +mph or so it will rumble until you slow to about 60 mph ....a little scary, it makes me think its going to lock up...I had a previous 94 gl that did the same thing my 2003 Honda Accord started with replacing power steering pump then power steering hose{recall} now I have a leaking power steering rack seems all connected to me should be a recall for the rack also? Is it possbile for wheel cyclinder to be leaking after only 20,000 miles on a 2003 Civic Honda? 2005 Honda CRV - Front struts noisy over small bumps in road Since new problems have included pull to the right, grinding noise from rear diff, crack in windhshield all across the bottom of the glass from side to side no chipping just a long horizontal crack just above the dash line.
