Honda Cr-v 2013 Visibility/wiper Review #10510772 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Apr 17, 2013.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VISIBILITY/WIPER . after taking our new honda crv on its first short trip - mostly highway driving, i began to realize that on freeway driving there was a constant visual distraction with the drivers-side door rear mirror. mainly due to the "split" from the design of the mirror. it causes a visual impairment to my peripheral vision, giving a false sense of passing cars coming" too close" to the vehicle as they pass to the right (freeway driving). this occurred multiple times about 5 times in a 120 mile drive. at one point, a car coming up along my driver's side felt so close i swerved into the emergency lane. while at the service department i asked about the driver's mirror, if this is normal for the mirror to have the "split" on it., they checked into it and said that it was. i asked if it could be switched out for a "non-split" mirror and was told it could not. i just feel this mirror has a potential dangerous visual flaw and should be reported for review. *tr .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 1075 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Visibility/wiper Review #10511323 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on May 01, 2013.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VISIBILITY/WIPER . on all 2013 cr-vs the windshield side trim strips are not close to the windshield, allowing a water-dam effect during a rain storm. in prior years, the trim detail was different. on 2013 model years, the trim starts 1/16" away from the windshield at the top, but increases to 1/2" at the bottom. additionally, the depth of the channel under the trim strip is 1/2" or greater. at speed during a storm, when the wiper sweeps rain in the leftward arc, it is not ejected entirely from the windscreen, but is "stored" under the trim strip. when the wiper starts its right-swing, the "stored" water is pulled from its channel, thereby creating a sheet of water on the windshield which makes visibility negligible. this, of course, only happens on the driver side. the sudden and dramatic loss of visibility is a frightening safety threat. i am turning my new cr-v back to the dealer, and refuse to pay for such an unsafe vehicle. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 150 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Exterior LightingHonda Cr-v 2013 Exterior Lighting Review #10525856 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on July 06, 2013.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . the headlights are atrocious, especially on high beam. there are dark spots all over the road, in the center of the road, and the road cannot be clearly seen. it is a safety hazard. i live in utah and traveling at night, the high beam headlights are so bad i could not see a deer or other wildlife if it were directly in front of me on the road. the low beams are almost just as bad. the road is not illuminated in a safe manner. this is a universal complaint (especially on the internet) and i cannot understand why the nhtsa has not looked into this. unless on a well-lit street, the headlights are useless. the cr-v should be immediately recalled and honda should be required to remedy this situation asap. moreover, why do the cr-vs sold in europe have projector-type headlights and those sold in the us are the worst headlights ever. Honda Cr-v 2013 Visibility Sun Roof AssemblyHonda Cr-v 2013 Visibility Sun Roof Assembly Review #10559091 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Jan 02, 2014.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VISIBILITY:SUN ROOF ASSEMBLY . i was driving home on a major road (not a small back road) when i heard a sound like a gunshot. i immediately pulled over and found that there was a large hole in my sunroof, with spiderweb cracking coming out from the hole. the glass was flexed upwards and created a dome-like effect. i continued to drive the 2 hours home and immediately went to a local honda dealership. the service man took pictures and proceeded to tell me that if something had fallen onto the sunroof, the glass would've crashed into the car, not flexed up and out like mine did. a few days later, the service man called and said after sending honda the pictures, they decided i must've damaged the sunroof somehow, causing it to crack, meaning honda would not take responsibility for it. i then proceeded to call the dealership where i bought the brand new car 6 months ago. in talking to the sales manager, he told me that if i was driving down the highway, it would be near impossible for something to fall on my sunroof to cause a damage. it would've hit my windshield, or just flown over my car. he said there was nothing he could do and i could call honda directly. i did. my case representative proceeded to "look into it", which entailed a mumbling man telling me he may or may not get back to my claim by january 21st. when i heard back from them, he had called the first dealership and then reported that they felt like there was damage to the sunroof, meaning honda still wouldn't take responsibility. honda has jerked me around from person to person, while having me drive around in my new car with a gaping hole in the sunroof that is shattering glass every time i drive it. their service men have told me one thing, and the corporation as a whole is saying something else. after a quick web-search, there have been many other instances of this happening on hondas, and they are refusing to take responsibility. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 13000 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Power TrainHonda Cr-v 2013 Power Train Review #10560503 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Nov 11, 2013.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with POWER TRAIN . i purchased a 2013 crv in the beginning of 2013 with vin # [xxx]. with about 6,000 miles after the first oil change, the vehicle starts making a creaking noise when pushing and releasing the brake. i went to the dealer on 11/11/13. a technician was able to duplicate the problem. the second visit to the dealer is on 11/25/2013. a master technician was able to duplicate the problem and identify the noise does not come from the braking system but from the rear differential system. the dealer made a phone call to honda tech line and was told to hold on the fix and wait for honda to do more investigation. the dealer said honda will send me a letter in the near future. i waited for the response from both dealer and honda for more than a month and heard nothing. the dealer told me to contact honda directly. i called honda in end of december 2013, and heard back from them in 1/3/2014, a honda representative named [xxx] in 1-800-999-1009 [xxx] called me back and told me that honda is not going to fix the problem and replace any parts but will do more investigation. he mentioned that the investigation will last for 2 to 3 years. also honda is not considering the rear differential system is failed or defective, because the computer did not notify them such part is failed. [xxx] refused to give me more information and did not want to issue a statement or letter to me to describe the problem and what further investigation will honda do. Honda Cr-v 2013 Exterior LightingHonda Cr-v 2013 Exterior Lighting Review #10562555 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Oct 02, 2013.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . as the days became shorter, i was driving after dark and noticed that the headlights are dangerously inadequate. the low beams only project about 10 feet in front of the vehicle (even with the driving lights on) and the high beams are very dim and offer very little light immediately in front of the vehicle. when turning, there is not enough light to safely see the side road if there are no street lights. in rural areas, the dim lights make it impossible to see wildlife such as deer soon enough to safely avoid them. my crv has been returned to the dealer twice and they were able to make some adjustments to try to fix the problem. the dealer has told me that customers have complained about poor lighting for many years and nothing has been done. i have purchased high output bulbs and the improvement has been minimal. i have called honda and asked how i could obtain the better headlights that are available in europe and been told that i cannot. i have asked if driving lights could be left on with the high beams and told no. the dealer offered to install post-market non-honda headlights for me but honda told me that i would void my warranty. honda customer service told me that she was not aware of any headlight complaints however many complaints are readily available on the internet. she took down my information and entered it into a computer and i have heard nothing back - that was a month ago. something needs done about these headlights - someone is going to be seriously injured and obviously honda does not care. this should be a simple fix as i know they have better headlights for this vehicle in the european market. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 7000 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Exterior LightingHonda Cr-v 2013 Exterior Lighting Review #10629260 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Aug 28, 2014.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . i purchased my 2013 honda cr-v new on february 8, 2013. today the right side headlight went out. because of a history of problems with headlights on previously owned cr-vs, i am not looking forward to what's ahead with the headlights on this car. i have owned a new 1997 crv, and a new 2006 crv. in both previous vehicles, which were purchased new and traded with over 250k miles on each, i had recurring problems with headlights constantly going out, often one within days of the other, and especially with the 2006 crv, every 3 to 4 months. i went to several honda dealerships on numerous occasions and was always told that there was recall or persistent problem. i commute 120 miles roundtrip daily for work, and i work in a rural area, covering 6 very rural counties. sometimes my headlight would go out while i was driving on dark, 2 lane rural highways. in the 2006 vehicle, my headlights were going out so frequently that i started buying 2 bulbs at a time so that i always had a back up bulb. this is a serious safety hazard that honda has apparently avoided fixing over the years. i am aware of the owner blogs for crv-s where many honda crv owners have complained about this. i have put family members on notice that if i am involved in an accident in my car at night and cannot speak for myself, they should pay special attention to whether my headlights were functioning properly. in addition, on this 2013 crv, neither the low beam nor the high beam head lights seem bright enough at night. although i love the cr-v otherwise, because of this persistent problem with the headlights that i believe honda is aware of and has chosen not to repair, this will very likely be the last honda that i purchase. this is a serious safety hazard, and i would not be surprised if there is eventually a class action lawsuit against honda because of this problem. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 64000 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 EngineHonda Cr-v 2013 Engine Review #10658894 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Feb 28, 2014.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with ENGINE . during winter months at freezing and below part # 110153 variable timing control, vtc actuator malfunctions. at the first start up the vehicle makes a grinding noise (metal upon metal). this was confirmed by the originating dealer and i was told that even though this happens consistently in crv-s when the temperature falls at or freezing that there is nothing to worry about. the engine won't freeze up nor will there be any damage to the power train? the part in question is unable (at low temperatures) to push oil up into the engine upon initial cold start-up in the mornings . this was how it was explained to me by the dealer. when i asked to speak to the honda representative who was at the store when the dealer replaced the part on 11 november, 2014 (and within less than 24 hours it failed) i was never allowed to do so. i lived with this all of last winter and now this winter as well or so it appears. i was informed by the dealer that this was an issue on several 2013 honda cr-v's sold in states where the climate is freezing or below. i was also informed that a fix was in the works by honda. well a fix has been in the works now since at least february of this year 2014 and nothing has been achieved. i was told by the dealer to call honda customer relations. the dealer wiped their hands of the situation. i don't believe that there will not be damage to the engine ( and possibly cause it to freeze up while on the road) potentially causing a serious hazard/accident. last, (and least of all) when i want to sell and/or trade in this vehicle it's value will be substantially diminished because of this defect that i am (by law) required to disclose. funny how the dealer knew this when they sold me the car but never disclosed the defect to me! .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 7889 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Fuel/propulsion SystemHonda Cr-v 2013 Fuel/propulsion System Review #10669842 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on July 22, 2014.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM . at a 10 mph coast i start to accelerate slowly and the engine feels like it will stall. the car does not accelerate, the rpm does not change with movement of the accelerator pedal. i have to rock the pedal two to three times to get the engine to respond and accelerate with the traffic. this is a continuing problem that the dealer on 2 occasions has been unable to detect and correct i have come close to being hit from the rear twice. the honda dealer's explanation is the transmission is waiting for the computer to tell it to " up or downshift. " if that were the case, the rpm would change when the accelerator pedal is pressed . . .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 6500 miles. Honda Cr-v 2013 Unknown Or OtherHonda Cr-v 2013 Unknown Or Other Review #10670905 HONDA CR-V 2013 car safety problem was reported on Jan 05, 2015.HONDA CR-V 2013, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with UNKNOWN OR OTHER . i had left my office about 10 minutes prior to pulling into a shopping center and was driving about 5 mph in the parking lot, looking for a parking space. i saw one and slowed down even more to barely moving, and was easing into the parking space with my right foot on the brake. just as the car stopped and i was getting ready to put it into park, the engine suddenly revved up and the car jumped the curb and hit a tree about 5 feet in front of the parking space at full force. it was like the accelerator had been pressed all the way to the floor. i was totally stunned. the entire front of the car was smashed in and radiator fluid was coming out of the bottom of the car. when this incident occurred, i was not talking on the phone; i was not drinking or eating anything in the car; i did not even have the radio turned on. i was not in an emotional state; i am not psychotic, homicidal ,or suicidal. i had both hands on the steering wheel as i had just made a slow left turn into the parking space and was barely moving, with my foot on the brake. i have gone on the internet to research anything like this occurring with other honda crv's, and there are numerous incidences cited involving the 2011 and 2013 models. it happens in very cold weather (freezing or below) , while the brake is engaged. it was in the low 30's at the time and my foot was on the brake. luckily, the tree stopped my forward motion, or i would have ended up driving thru the plate glass window of the ups store. other drivers have not been so lucky - some have been taken to the hospital, other cars involved, other people injured. i am absolutely terrified of driving this vehicle again..Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 32000 miles. My 94 GL 1500 sends off a vibration when you let off the gas...traveling at 80-90 +mph or so it will rumble until you slow to about 60 mph ....a little scary, it makes me think its going to lock up...I had a previous 94 gl that did the same thing my 2003 Honda Accord started with replacing power steering pump then power steering hose{recall} now I have a leaking power steering rack seems all connected to me should be a recall for the rack also? Is it possbile for wheel cyclinder to be leaking after only 20,000 miles on a 2003 Civic Honda? 2005 Honda CRV - Front struts noisy over small bumps in road Since new problems have included pull to the right, grinding noise from rear diff, crack in windhshield all across the bottom of the glass from side to side no chipping just a long horizontal crack just above the dash line. Front struts make a hug the check engine light is staying on on my cbr1000rr 06. do you have to adjust the valves and fuel when you remove baffles from a 1995 honda 750 magna???? I have a Honda Civic DX and I wanted to change radio unit. How do I change or take the panel out. Is there a diagram that could help me? Thank you. I am having the same issue with our 2012 passenger seat. I also had the flooding issue with my spare tire compartment. I thought that maybe I had drug the back over something and created a hole. I had asked my repairman to look for a hole while he had the car in the air for an oil change and he coul '03 CIVIC steering wheel tilt lock getting loose, can I fix it or's it a Dealer issue?
