Gmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 SeatsGmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Seats Review #10317073 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Nov 17, 2009.GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with SEATS . i was driving my 2004 gmc sierra with my car seat warmers on. i suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns to my back from the car seat warmers. i had only been driving the car for approximately 20 minutes. the pain worsened, and i immediately sought medical attention. i reported this to gmc claims on the same day. i had pictures taken of my back on the day of the injury, and 2 days later. gmc claims on feb 26th told me my car seat temps (raytech 120.1 f with leather on; 170 f with leather off) are within normal range and this claim does not actually even need to be settled by gmc. these temperatures were taken by gmc's investigation specialist. i witnessed the investigation. i spoke to a forensic engineer on march 5, 2010, who stated the temperatures read from the raytec are inaccurate as they were not done during compression of the car seat to simulate sitting in the seat. this forensic engineer informed me that the accurate temperatures would have been higher . i have not tried the seat warmers since my injury, because i do not want to incur further injury or possibly worse, such as a fire hazard. at this point, the claim is ongoing. i am very upset with gmc and their handling of this claim. it seems that the safety of myself and my family are being disregarded. *tr.1 person(s) were injured. Gmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Service Brakes, HydraulicGmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Review #10353376 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Aug 30, 2010.GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC . i was approaching an intersection in my 2004 gmc sierra 4x4 2500hd pickup truck with a 2800 pound trailer when i pressed the brakes to stop. the brake pedal went to the floor and i was unable to stop. the trailer brakes were not enough to stop the vehicle and i continued into the intersection and was almost struck by two other vehicles. they just missed hitting my vehicle and causing serious injuries to myself and my passenger, as well as themselves. when i opened the hood there was brake fluid all over the drivers side of the engine compartment. i had the vehicle towed to the nearest gmc dealer. the dealer told me that a brake line had burst and needed to be replaced. he also stated that all the brake lines were corroded and needed to be replaced at $750.00 per side. he told me that this was a common problem for these vehicles and that these lines only last 4-7 years on average. there is also significant corrosion on the frame. my vehicle is always garaged and regular maintenance is done. the dealer then told me that since we live in a snow belt state that i should expect this and that gmc will not help with the repair. i told him that i am very upset and that i have been a firefighter/paramedic for over 25 years, and if what he just said was true, then i would have had to rescue an awful lot of people from their crashed vehicles if on average brake lines only lasted 4-7 years. i feel that this needs to be reported and investigated because it is a very serious safety issue and people are going to get hurt if what the dealer told me is true. i would appreciate it if you would look into this matter. at this point my vehicle is sitting at the dealership in an unrepaired condition until further action by either gmc or nhtsa happens. *tr.Mileage was 54000 miles. Gmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Review #10421078 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Aug 22, 2011.GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS LLC had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC . this complaint covers my 2004 gmc sierra 2500hd crew cab 4wd. almost one year ago i had a main brake line blow underneath the drivers side of the truck. the line was so corroded it was no wonder. this incident happened on 9-7-10. i was hooked to my fifth wheel camper and was preparing to pull out of driveway and when i placed foot on brake to shift into drive it blew. thankfully i was just beginning to move. i had the truck towed to my local mechanic and he replaced the line and flushed system. now again on 8-22-11 same situation occurred. the line blew in exactly the same position as first time only a different line this time. not to mention the other corrosion on the brake calipers and hardware that rendered my rear brakes useless. had to replace rotors and pads due to sticking brake pad wearing to point of metal to metal contact. did i mention i purchased this truck new and it now has only 38,500 miles. rarely does it get driven in snow and salt. i have all receipts for parts that this problem has caused me. im just thankful that i wasn't towing as i usually do when im driving this truck. i've talked to my local dealership don hall in ashland, ky and they cite hundreds of trucks having this same problem. when are they going to do something about this. i am a loyal gm fan but i worked at a toyota dealership for two years selling used vehicles. i made it a habit of checking all of our gm truck trade-ins for this rust problem and they too had this. i saw even two to three year old vehicles rusted to the point of collapse. one of these being a $65000 cadillac escalade. appalling. *tr.Mileage was 40750 miles. Gmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Service Brakes Review #10638025 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Sept 20, 2014.GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES . this seldom used, well maintained, garaged truck, blew out the brake lines on left side on the frame, under the door, resulting in total brake failure. i had to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle. i was on my way to pick up a #9000 boat. if i had that boat behind the truck, it could have killed me, or others on the road. brake lines are not a normal service part. replacing all the brake lines is costing me 1300, at a minimum. my neighbor next door has a similar 2004 gmc sierra, with about the same mileage, only his is a 1/2 ton, where mine is 3/4 ton. his truck had the same failure the week before, in the exact same location on the lines. do a simple search looking for brake failures on these vehicles, and you find that its well documented. this should be a recall before people are killed. there is no way that i should be looking at brake line failure on a 10 year old garaged truck that has a tow capacity of over 10,000 #'s. how should someone detect the integrity of the brake lines to determine when the should be replaced? .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 73000 miles. Gmc Sierra 2500 Hd 2004 Service Brakes Review #10638398 GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Sept 19, 2014.GMC SIERRA 2500 HD 2004, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES . on 9-19-2014 the truck was stopped at a red light and started to inch forward. slight pressure on the brake pedal stopped the movement. the event was so quick and slight i thought nothing about it. i turned on the freeway and drove 30 or 40 miles before touching the brake pedal again. when i did it went almost to the floor without slowing the truck speed any appreciable amount. at that point i knew i had a serious problem. i geared the truck down and was able to avoid being involved in an accident. if i had needed to come to a full and fast stop it could easily have been a disaster. an internet search revealed gm has had this problem for some time without notice to truck owners that it exists. an inspection of the brake lines was done and indicated a failure in the brake line system due to rust. the fuel lines showed the same kind of deterioration. pictures can be provided to verify the lack of advanced rust conditions to the underneath of the truck other than the brake line system, the fuel line system, and the drive shaft. the truck was purchased new in south carolina and has been driven there 90% on the total mileage on it. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 180000 miles. My GMC K1500 sometimes starts running rough. It may correct it's self or may continue running rough untill you turn it off for a while then start it up again. Sometimes it may go a month with no problem then the problem may come right back. 1998 GMC Sierra 4x4. 118,000 miles but rebuilt engine installed at 78,000 miles. Drive carefully, slow take offs, 65 to 70 mph on road, but gas mileage is 10 to 11.5 mpg. Changed air filter but no better. Tire pressure is fine. Any suggestions for 2004 GMC Envoy~~~ I have no rt or lft brake lights.(only the bar brake light at the top of the hatch.) I was told that the right one wasn't working. When I went under the seat to check the fuse I noticed that it was the only fuse that was loose, j What can i do to repair the problem i have with my wipers being intermittend thank you. I have a 2007 Yukon Denali XL and my climate control + button for the heat on the drivers side peeled off. Anyone out there having the same issue? It looks like the passengers side is doing the same. IT is stuck all pulled out , and will not rolll back in .
