Gmc Canyon 2005 Suspension Review #10129258 GMC CANYON 2005 car safety problem was reported on June 27, 2005.GMC CANYON 2005, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with SUSPENSION . dt: 2005 gmc canyon. when the vehicle moved either fast or slow it shook a lot. the vehicle pulled to the right, and it was an half to one inch to the right. when i turning the truck it seemed something was sliding in the rear of the truck. took the truck to dealer for repairs, and the dealer was closed. the next day the truck was totaled in an accident. while driving 45 to 50 mph, the car in front slammed on the brakes at a red light. also, consumer slammed on the brakes, but the truck brakes locked, and the truck slid to the right. spoke to the insurance company, and the truck was towed to the dealer , and they were investigating. there were no injuries. s a police report was filed. *ak .Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. Gmc Canyon 2005 Latches/locks/linkages Doors LatchGmc Canyon 2005 Latches/locks/linkages Doors Latch Review #10136090 GMC CANYON 2005 car safety problem was reported on Sept 05, 2005.GMC CANYON 2005, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH . the "2005 gmc canyon" pick-up and similar vehicles made by this manufacturer lack keyed access locks on the passenger-side doors. in the event of an emergency, because there is no practical way to readily access the vehicle from the passenger-side, there is the potential that the vehicle owner or passengers would be exposed to undue harm. it is taken for granted by most consumers that vehicles come with keyed access on the passenger-side, but nowhere in the manufacturers literature does it mention that there are no outside locks on the passenger-side of these vehicles. if a consumer were to purchase the vehicle with power locks, this wouldn't be an issue, unless there was a power failure to the vehicle, but vehicles sold that do not come with the power door lock feature, do not come with outside door locks on the passenger-side of the vehicle. i feel that the manufacturer should retrofit these vehicles with outside door locks. *jb.Mileage was 0 miles. Gmc Canyon 2005 EngineGmc Canyon 2005 Engine Review #10681324 GMC CANYON 2005 car safety problem was reported on Feb 04, 2015.GMC CANYON 2005, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with ENGINE . this truck was listed in a recall under a tsb #07123a. this no charge recall was to replace cylinder heads that were manufactured with defective intake valve seats. the "special coverage" extended the repair for 7 years/100,0000. i have owned the truck for 5 years and did not receive any notification of this problem. my father bought the vehicle new and i inherited it on his passing in 2009. i have 52,000 miles on the otherwise pristine truck. i am told it doesn't matter that it was a clear manufacturers defect or that i was not notified as the extension expired in 2013. the repair is $3500. i think that a recall to replace a defective engine part as substantial as the cylinder head should be considered non expirable particularly with such a low mileage engine. i bought a 2004 new and put 167,000 miles on it before selling it and i did not receive a letter on this recall. my son also bought a new 2004 and currently has 190,000 miles on it and he did not receive a letter on the engine. my dad bought this 2005 new before passing in 2009 and as far as i know he did not receive a letter. i did not get any letter about the engine during my ownership. i believe a great many engines were affected as the indicated by the extended coverage. however, not telling all of the owners of vehicles involved should not become my extreme financial burden. i don't think gmc should be able to thumb their nose at me for missing an arbitrary cut off date, for a warranty recall i had no knowledge of and be forced to bear the entire burden or repair costs. they knew then and know now that these heads were defective..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 52000 miles. My GMC K1500 sometimes starts running rough. It may correct it's self or may continue running rough untill you turn it off for a while then start it up again. Sometimes it may go a month with no problem then the problem may come right back. 1998 GMC Sierra 4x4. 118,000 miles but rebuilt engine installed at 78,000 miles. Drive carefully, slow take offs, 65 to 70 mph on road, but gas mileage is 10 to 11.5 mpg. Changed air filter but no better. Tire pressure is fine. Any suggestions for 2004 GMC Envoy~~~ I have no rt or lft brake lights.(only the bar brake light at the top of the hatch.) I was told that the right one wasn't working. When I went under the seat to check the fuse I noticed that it was the only fuse that was loose, j What can i do to repair the problem i have with my wipers being intermittend thank you. I have a 2007 Yukon Denali XL and my climate control + button for the heat on the drivers side peeled off. Anyone out there having the same issue? It looks like the passengers side is doing the same. IT is stuck all pulled out , and will not rolll back in .
