Ford Fusion 2014 Air BagsFord Fusion 2014 Air Bags Review #10563447 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Nov 23, 2013.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with AIR BAGS . i am the adult co-owner of 2014 ford fusion hybrid. the dashboard airbag light is lit indicating the airbag is off when i occupy the front passenger seat. the service manager at the selling dealership claims the air bag is functioning properly and is designed to work in conjunction with the seat belt. therefore, ford is telling me i must learn to live with this hazard. i understand a disabled airbag is intended to protect children. i am not a child! i am the adult, co-owner and co-driver of the car. i weigh 90 lbs and am 51. i am in jeopardy because this car does not offer me the full protection of the current passenger seat belt/ air bag combination. nhtsa warns, in part e of its form request for air bag on-off switch��, that the seatbelt operating without the airbag, can allow me to hit the dashboard or the windshield. ford is aware of this problem because the ford owner'��s manual suggests i sit in the rear seat. i have optimum protection when i drive the car. this 2014 ford fusion hybrid denies me, as a small stature adult, full airbag seatbelt protection while offering full airbag seat belt protection to larger adults. this gap in protection increases my risk of injury and is contrary to nhtsa⿿s mission statement of ⿿preventing injuries. i am not as safe as i should be in this car. i contacted the dealer immediately regarding this safety issue. the dealership⿿s owner promised me that a ford engineer would look at the car. to date i have not seen this representative this is an urgent safety matter. i request the nhtsa to direct the ford motor company to fix this airbag safety failure making me as safe as other adult passengers. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 15 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 Fuel System, GasolineFord Fusion 2014 Fuel System, Gasoline Review #10584148 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Oct 10, 2013.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE . bought a new 2014 ford fusion in october. when fuel tank is full, there is a loud and distinct noise originating from the back of the car which appears to be coming from the fuel tank. initial inspection by ford failed to determine the nature of the problem as they were not able to replicate the noise. driving the car for several weeks led me to determine that the noise was present only when the fuel tank was at least 5/8s full. i brought the car back to ford twice, both times with a full tank of gas. two different service managers tell me the noise is "normal" but there is nothing normal about it. i've escalated my concerns to ford's corporate offices on at least 3 occasions and they have never once returned my calls or responded to my written inquiries. noises from the fuel tank are, naturally concerning and disconcerting. my friends just bought the same car and they have not experienced the same noise so i believe that they know a problem exists and corrected it, but only prospectively. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 200 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 SteeringFord Fusion 2014 Steering Review #10595042 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on May 06, 2014.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with STEERING . i purchased a 2014 ford fusion on march 24, 2014. my son was driving on the expressway and the steering wheel would not turn for him to change lanes to exit. the next day(may 6th) he took the car back to the dealer and they kept the car for two days. again, he was driving on the expressway from the dealer (may 8th) and the steering froze and he had to maneuver the car to exit the expressway. the next day he took the car back to the dealer. the service department (after diagnosing the situation for three days) stated that ford changed from hydraulic module to an electrical module and the part is on backorder. i was given a loaner on that day and today is friday, may 30th and i do not have back my car. i am making payments on a new car with steering problems and my concern is will the car's steering problem be resolved with the replacement module. i am concerned about safety when highway or expressway driving. there are enough distractions with other drivers (texting, eating, talking on the phone, etc.) without having to be concerned whether the steering wheel will lock up and cause an accident and injure my son or others. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 1008 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 Exterior LightingFord Fusion 2014 Exterior Lighting Review #10598112 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on June 12, 2014.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . i went to my dealership in mexico complaining about the autolamp function, the autolamp is expected from the customer to avoid distraction while driving and conditions like tunnels are ahead it should turn on the lights as you enter or a couple of seconds later, however reality is that the headlights turn on after 13 seconds and that can't be reduced by the dealer, according to the dealer that's how the car was designed (not only for mexico) and that's a big security risk , in a very dark tunnel 13 seconds it's to late and people could die due to an accident. i encourage ford motor company to take real action to correct and recall this function to be corrected asap world wide, it's incredible that with such good car they missed this little but highly important detail. *js.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 2000 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 EngineFord Fusion 2014 Engine Review #10643214 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Oct 06, 2014.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with ENGINE . this vehicle has a proximity starting system. no insertion of a key is needed to start the car. the car is supposed to recognize the electronic key to your vehicle. after shopping i came out got into my car and pushed the start button with my key fob in my pocket. my wife happened to be sitting beside me in the car with a key fob in her purse. the car would not start and a message saying "key not recognized". i tried multiple times to push the start button to try to start the car. it would not start. the key fobs would however lock and unlock the car which meant the car was in fact recognizing them but the car would not start. i called my selling dealership for advice on how to start the car. they could offer none. they said all i could do would be to have the vehicle towed to them for inspection. l called to arrange for the tow. but then waiting for the tow truck i tried one last time to start the car by pushing the start button. amazingly and for no reason i could figure out as i had done nothing different the car did finally start that time. i dove over to the dealership. after over two hours they could not find any problem with the car that might have caused it to not recognize my key fobs and not start. they kept my car overnight but by noon still finding no problem or cure to it they said i could come and pick up the car. when i got there they said they had contacted ford and ford had no information to give them about the problem. i did some research myself however on the internet and found a number of complaints on ford's own website in the "forum" section saying other customers had reported the very same "key not recognized" and none starting problems with their vehicles. ford seems to be stonewalling on this issue. and while a car not starting when you need it to can be a real inconvenience it could also be a real safety concern under the right circumstance. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 540 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 Electrical SystemFord Fusion 2014 Electrical System Review #10643214 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Oct 06, 2014.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . this vehicle has a proximity starting system. no insertion of a key is needed to start the car. the car is supposed to recognize the electronic key to your vehicle. after shopping i came out got into my car and pushed the start button with my key fob in my pocket. my wife happened to be sitting beside me in the car with a key fob in her purse. the car would not start and a message saying "key not recognized". i tried multiple times to push the start button to try to start the car. it would not start. the key fobs would however lock and unlock the car which meant the car was in fact recognizing them but the car would not start. i called my selling dealership for advice on how to start the car. they could offer none. they said all i could do would be to have the vehicle towed to them for inspection. l called to arrange for the tow. but then waiting for the tow truck i tried one last time to start the car by pushing the start button. amazingly and for no reason i could figure out as i had done nothing different the car did finally start that time. i dove over to the dealership. after over two hours they could not find any problem with the car that might have caused it to not recognize my key fobs and not start. they kept my car overnight but by noon still finding no problem or cure to it they said i could come and pick up the car. when i got there they said they had contacted ford and ford had no information to give them about the problem. i did some research myself however on the internet and found a number of complaints on ford's own website in the "forum" section saying other customers had reported the very same "key not recognized" and none starting problems with their vehicles. ford seems to be stonewalling on this issue. and while a car not starting when you need it to can be a real inconvenience it could also be a real safety concern under the right circumstance. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 540 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 Power TrainFord Fusion 2014 Power Train Review #10669958 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Jan 03, 2015.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with POWER TRAIN . my daughters car was parked approx. 12-14 hours before she went to use it again. she tried to remote start it but the engine shook violently and shut off saying it wasn't in park. she turned remote off & tried to start it by key. same thing happened. took emergency break off & tried again, it mmediately went backwards about 2 ft., did the same thing & shut off, saying not in park. i checked online for help & saw that a recall is in progress starting 1-5-15 for this. called roadside assistance & had it towed to a dealer. she is 700 miles from home, supposed to start a new job, had the car for 4 months and it only has 2300 miles on it. i am very disappointed with the lack of safety in this brand new car and much more uncomfortable that it happened so far from home. of course it happened on saturday, after hours. this is a brand new car. who'd think it wouldn't be dependable?. always been a ford fan, but i had a huge issue not to long ago as well!!! don't know what's going on ..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 2300 miles. Ford Fusion 2014 Service BrakesFord Fusion 2014 Service Brakes Review #10676229 FORD FUSION 2014 car safety problem was reported on Jan 12, 2015.FORD FUSION 2014, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES . i avoided another vehicle that cut me off on the expressway by honking the horn, slamming on the brakes and quickly changing lanes. as soon as i maneuvered into an empty lane, my vehicles instrument panel went dark, the horn stopped sounding, all gauges went to zero and the car lost all electric power (including steering assist) and the engine stumbled. after a second or two everything on the instrument panel reset. once everything came back on, the engine was on a reduced power mode and pushing the accelerator to the floor did not make the car accelerate. with the vehicle rapidly loosing speed, i was able to steer the vehicle into the shoulder of the expressway. i shifted the vehicle into neutral and turned the car off by moving the key to "accessory" and then restarted the vehicle. once restarted, i shifted back into drive and depressed the accelerator. the car accelerated normally and all electronic functions were working. the instrument panel displayed everything normally. there was no "check engine" or other warning lights illuminated and no warning messages were displayed on the instrument panel screen. i drove my car another 6 miles to the dealership with no further issues. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 15800 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
