Ford F350 2004 Fuel System, DieselFord F350 2004 Fuel System, Diesel Review #10074746 FORD F350 2004 car safety problem was reported on May 15, 2004.FORD F350 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL . 1.) i own an 04, f350 superduty, diesel truck. there are 2 fuel filters \ water seperators on it. one on the drivers side, under the frame and the other on top of the engine. owners manual reccomends that you must drain the one under the frame at least with every fill up to prevent water from getting into the engine. 2.) the problem is that you must use an allen wrench under the frame to loosen the screw for the fuel in the filter to drain out. ford reccomends at least 25 seconds and into a container. i have done this 5 times now. 4 times the screw has fallen out and i was soaked with diesel fuel, and had a 45 second or so flow of fuel on the ground, contaminating it. 3.) i feel that there needs to be a recall to change that drain screw to a petcock or a spring loaded screw to prevent the screw from falling out. this would prevent these small fuel spills that are harmful to the enviornment, and the dangereous fuel that is being spilled onto people. *jb.0 person(s) died.Ford F350 2004 problem was reported in ALBUQUERQUE, NM. Ford F350 2004 Fuel System, Other Delivery Fuel PumpFord F350 2004 Fuel System, Other Delivery Fuel Pump Review #10138027 FORD F350 2004 car safety problem was reported on Sept 10, 2005.FORD F350 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP . i was driving my ford f350 down a 2 lane road with a tractor trailer following close behind me at 60 mph when my truck stalled. to avoid being crushed by the semi i veered off the road to the right and put my truck into the ditch and the semi had to swerve to make it all the around me. the truck would not restart and had a quater tank of fuel in it. i had to leave the truck there till the next day. the next morning i called the local dealer velde ford they also said they couldn't tow it. i called a wrecker service and they hauled it to velde ford. velde ford wouldn't have a diesel mechanic till monday. velde ford also said they couldn't provide a rental car. they did find a third recall on my truck for the exhaust sensor. on monday, velde called me to tell me the fuel pump had gone out and they ordered a new one which would be there on tuesday. it was covered under warranty but they still couldn't reimburse me for the tow or rental car because the truck had 92,000 miles on it. even though the truck has 100,000 mile warranty because i didn't buy an extended warranty they wouldn't reimburse. i called ford customer service to voice my dissatisfaction with everything happening and they told me they couldn't do anything either and i had to continue to talk to the dealer. i explained to them that the fuel pump failing had the same safety concerns as the 05s34 recall had that the vehicle stalled while in motion which could have killed me and mypassengers but they didn't seem to concern with it because your organization wasn't involved. tuesday the fuel pump arrives but it seems that this is a new redesigned fuel pump because the old style had problems and they didn't order the required wire harness to go with it. thursday arrives and the new wire harness finally gets there. i have seen many people on rv website forums and ford truck forums with the same fuel pump problem on 6.0 liter diesel engine trucks. i hope you find this compelling enough to investigate. *nm.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 91890 miles. Ford F350 2004 Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Review #10314198 FORD F350 2004 car safety problem was reported on June 15, 2004.FORD F350 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE . since new vehicle purchase, my ford f350 diesel p/u experienced engine surging (200-250 rpm) while stopped with the automatic transmission in drive. the surge was significant enough to lurch the truck forward with the brake applied, such as at a stoplight. in several cases, i almost rear ended other vehicles before applying the brake hard enough to stop the truck from moving forward. i later learned to anticipate the surge using the brakes to minimize movement of the truck while stopped. my surging problem was confirmed on multiple occasions by technicians during test rides, but they could not duplicate the problem in the shop. in all cases, the first step was to reflash the ecm which masked the problem for several days while the truck relearned my driving habits and prevented a diagnosis. the engine had to be operated at full temperature in road conditions before the problem developed. in the shop, idling the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature was not sufficient to replicate the problem. ford dealers made multiple attempts (10 or more) to diagnose the problem: replacing injector control pressure (icp) module, egr valve, and icp wiring connectors to no avail. the problem was finally diagnosed and corrected, out of warranty at approx. 44,500 miles, by replacing the engine wiring harness. i found a dealer who was willing to send a technician on a test ride with me and hook up an onboard computer laptop that identified the problem before reflashing the computer ecm. a number of surging complaints from other owners of ford f350 are posted in online forums documenting similar circumstances and frustration. the incident date provided is the approximate date of the first occurrence. in my case, the surging occurred on a near daily basis, although intermittently, for 41000 miles of driving without any resolution from ford. the engine wiring harness was replaced in feb 2009 which corrected the surging in my truck. i paid a $100 deductible. *tr.Mileage was 3000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
