Ford F-350 Sd 2004 Engine And Engine Cooling EngineFord F-350 Sd 2004 Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Review #10125508 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Mar 10, 2005.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE . there have been approximately 15 incidentas were the vehicle has stalled, while being driven or when attempting to stop at a stop sign or turn. the vehiclehas two methods of stalling - the first method is be idling very rough - as if miss firing on a cylinder/ timing issues where it blows black smoke. the second method is if you are stopped with your foot hopefully on the brake - the vehicle will rev up and lurch forward - if on the brake it will sometimes then stall. the vehicle has been to the shop at least 4 times - with multiple incidents per visit, the shop had replaced the egr valve and had reprogrammed the pcm everytime in the shop. which takes me back to lousy fuel economy and has not yet fixed the problem. i am not happy..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 7350 miles. Ford F-350 Sd 2004 Electrical System WiringFord F-350 Sd 2004 Electrical System Wiring Review #10130548 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Mar 09, 2004.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING . dt: consumer stated 2004 ford f350 super duty was having electrical surge problems. consumer was complaining to dealership that vehicle had surge problems for the past year and a half. the dealer said that they could not duplicate the problem. dealer did updated the computer software and the truck ran some what better after that. the problem came back after a week, and went back to having computer surges. the truck was in the dealership for repairs on this issue five times. same result, the truck would work for a little while, then back to the same surging problems which have been intermittent. the manufacturer has been contacted 5 to 6 times. ford has not helped in resolving this issue. the lemon law has been looked into by the consumer. the lemon law was denied by the state. consumer had asked ford to investigate this problem. ford said that they had no recalls or anything else on the truck. as of july 27, the truck stalled in the middle of the road. the truck had to sit for around 15 minutes before it would start owner could actually drive it. the truck ran yesterday for 3 miles and started stalling again, twice yesterday, 7-29-2005. the owner parked the truck and called a tow truck to come and get it. the owner received nhtsa recall 05v270000 on 7-27-2005 and nhtsa 05v270000 on the electrical system. *ak.Mileage was 6300 miles. Ford F-350 Sd 2004 Electrical System WiringFord F-350 Sd 2004 Electrical System Wiring Review #10133395 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Aug 16, 2005.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING . dt: consumer owns a 2004 f350 ford diesel. he bought vehicle new with about 3 miles on it. this vehicle was a safety hazard. there has been several times that he has almost had an accident because the vehicle stalled. the last time was on august 16, 2005, he drove the vehicle about 110 miles, shut off vehicle, and let it sit in the shade for about 20 minutes. he then started the vehicle and drove about 3 tenths of a mile and shut vehicle off again, and let it sit in the shade for about and hour and thirty minutes. he then tried to start the vehicle and the vehicle would not start. has to roll it off to start it when this happens. he has been in contact with the dealer and the manufacturer trying to get something done with the vehicle. the manufacturer was contacted several times, and finally wanted him to take the vehicle back to the dealer where he purchased it. he took the vehicle back to dealer at fords request, and vehicle was still at dealer because he did not want to pick it up because he did not feel that it could be fixed. the dealer started charging a deductible for each time it was repaired. on august 2, 2005 he took vehicle to dealer to have recall 05v27000 work done for the stalling and starting problem. dealer assured him that this would fix the stalling and restart problem. since the recall repairs were done the vehicle almost stalled 3 times, and on 2 occasions did not start. when the vehicle stalled it will not start back with starter, but for some reason it will roll off and start. the recall work did not fix problem, and he wanted to have something done so that he will no longer have to deal with this. he does want vehicle replaced by ford.*ak *jb.Mileage was 800 miles. Ford F-350 Sd 2004 Vehicle Speed Control CablesFord F-350 Sd 2004 Vehicle Speed Control Cables Review #10180812 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Jan 25, 2006.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CABLES . cruise control cables jamming throttles open on fleet of 2001-2004 ford f350 utility body trucks with 6.8l v10 engines. occurring about january 25 2006. another unit had the accelerator jam wide open. unit burned up the braking components from driving to our repair shop. discovered the cruise control cable end guiding tube would fold down onto the intake manifold and jam the throttle wide open. 2001 through 2003 units affected currently had these cables disconnected and had no further recurrences. occurring january 22, 2007, also had the accelerator jam wide open. a newer 2004 unit, this one had an accident running into a wall. again, discovered the cruise control cable end guiding tube would fold down onto the intake manifold and jam the throttle wide open. we will be looking for units affected and will disconnected their cables until a remedy is available. we speculate this can be caused by these combination of these factors: 1) influenced by driving conditions that promote rapid cycling from wider throttle openings followed by the immediate closure of the throttle; as with stop and go driving demands. 2) cruise control cable end guide component "drooping" with higher under hood engine temperatures. this allows the cable guiding sleeves to not correctly overlap and prevent it from freely sliding through. this forces the cable guide sleeve down to jam onto the manifold. 3) harmonic frequency amplification of combined vibrations. vibrations generated from the vehicle pitching from the road and acceleration and deceleration motions. the kinetic energy of the moving cruise control cable components tries to continue it's forward opening motion when it is suddenly reversed with the throttle closure. any excess cable within the guiding sleeve may still be moving in the opposite direction upon throttle closure; possibly jamming inside the sleeve. *jb .Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 23343 miles. Ford F-350 Sd 2004 Fuel System, DieselFord F-350 Sd 2004 Fuel System, Diesel Review #10263150 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Sept 19, 2006.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL . i purchased a used ford f350 super duty 4x4 truck on 11-18-2005, from butler ford in medford or. since this purchase i have had repeated problems with the turbocharger system on this truck (check engine light on, egr valve,eec &egr , mass air flo sensor, hoses blowing off turbo charger) i have taken this truck to be repaired many times at multiple ford dealerships across the united states ( i was on a vacation, and had continual problems with the hoses blowing off the turbocharger) at the last repair attempt i was told that ford motor co. was replacing turbochargers on these trucks. i had the turbocharger replaced and had the truck about 1 week when the check engine light came on again , i returned the truck to the dealer repair shop(300.00 in fees again!) when the truck was returned to me i took a trip, approximately 400 miles and again the check engine light is on. each time this check engine light comes on i have problems with the hoses connecting the turbocharger to the engine manifold blowing off, the truck looses power stranding me on the road. i have had to replace the hoses on my own to continue driving this truck. the last incident i had with this problem i was almost hit by a logging truck while trying to direct traffic around my disabled truck, the trucker who almost hit me called the oregon state police and i was told to remove the truck from the highway or i would receive a citation for having an unsafe vehicle . i have tried to resolve this problem with ford motor co. customer relations center .when i contact them they tell me there is nothing they can do about this problem even though this truck was still under warranty when it was purchased and has had repeated repair attempts for the same problem. *tr.Mileage was 29868 miles. Ford F-350 Sd 2004 StructureFord F-350 Sd 2004 Structure Review #10289349 FORD F-350 SD 2004 car safety problem was reported on Sept 02, 2009.FORD F-350 SD 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with STRUCTURE . 2004 f350 truck with new tires put on by langdale ford dealer are wrong size and a damaged wheel - i bought this truck on sept 2 2009, during test drive i advise salesman chris lane about a rough ride and i though maybe a tire was out of balance. he told me that it was flat spots from sitting on the lot and it would smooth out as i drove it. after 1 & a half weeks i called back and was referred to a jack sr. whom is the service manager. he advised me they would for $80-85.00 hr. put it on a computer and check it out. i told him it was a tire or wheel problem and no computer would be needed but he refused any further help and was very rude. ford mtr, co. was contacted and they contacted langdale on my behalf but got brushed off too. the wheel was found by a local tire shop and they said that i had a unsafe wheel, it had been heated up by a cutting torch and made to fit this truck. they order me another tire and put it on the spare rim that had the correct tire size but would not match the other tires on the truck. upon my visit to the tire shop i was told that the wrong size tires had been put on by langdale ford. they had put size- 245/75r16 wider tires on the truck and it was suppose to be 235/85r16 narrow tires and that i could have a problem when weight was added to these tires in the rear (duel tire truck) causing the tires to heat up and blow out. luckily we found these problems before traveling with a load and the bad wheel did not brake the studs. these wheels/tires are heavy and could have been a bad and deadly missile on the highway. i had also found the tail pipe lose from the back two hangers the day i brought the truck home but i fixed these. the dealers need to be held responsible for safety of vehicles they put on the public highways. *tr.Mileage was 103000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
