Ford F-350 2008 SuspensionFord F-350 2008 Suspension Review #10278647 FORD F-350 2008 car safety problem was reported on July 26, 2009.FORD F-350 2008, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with SUSPENSION . i have two 2008 ford f-350 superduty 4x4 trucks. one truck has 39000 miles and the other 61000 miles. at highway speeds, after hitting uneven road surface or bumps, they begin to shimmy and shake so bad that i have to pull over to get it to quit i have had the trucks in numerous times to fix but the problem always returns. i received notice from ford that low tire pressure causes this but i maintain correct tire pressure in both of my trucks so i know this is not the problem. i have been researching this online and there is a company called wcmotorsports that claims to know why these trucks are doing this and the solution. their website is www.superdutywobble.com. their phone number is (508) 668-8638. they seem very knowledgeable about this issue. the problem is the replacement part to fix this is $825. i feel that this should be a recall issue. after looking online, many people have this problem. i have not modified these trucks in anyway and i feel that it is only a matter of time until this causes a fatality if it hasn't already. *tr.Mileage was 35000 miles. Ford F-350 2008 Fuel System, DieselFord F-350 2008 Fuel System, Diesel Review #10310085 FORD F-350 2008 car safety problem was reported on Feb 10, 2010.FORD F-350 2008, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL . 3 times in the last 6 months my ford f350 has shut down while i am driving, it locks me out so i can't even turn the engine over and i have to try to coast to a safe place out of traffic. all 3 times the fuel gauge reads over 50 miles to empty, the last time it read 140 miles to empty. the fuel lines are sucking in air, i get high and low pressure codes, i add more fuel(deisel) and then have to bleed all of the lines of air and prime the pumps. i have to do this on the side of the road or in a parking lot if i am fortunate enough to make it that far. i pulled the tank and pulled the fuel sending unit out, upon cleaning out the tank found a plunger rolling around. this plunger goes in the fuel sending unit, closing a valve that sucks fuel if the main suction gets clogged. it is about 2 inches higher than the main suction. because the plunger has fallen out, this is where it is sucking fuel from, which causes it to suck air when there is in fact still fuel in the tank. i called ford service and was told they replace these units all of the time, it is a manufacturers defect but not covered if your vehicle is out of the 36k warranty, when this most commonly happens. the last time this happened a friend pulled my truck into a parking lot,while he was pulling me in, there was another ford truck being pulled in after running out of fuel while the gauge still read 50 miles to empty. this is very dangerous when it happens on the interstate, you have no power steering at this point and can not easily handle the vehicle due to the weight of this vehicle. my wife would never be able to handle the vehicle if this happens. i won't let her drive the truck due to this. *tr.Mileage was 43250 miles. Ford F-350 2008 VisibilityFord F-350 2008 Visibility Review #10405371 FORD F-350 2008 car safety problem was reported on Apr 25, 2010.FORD F-350 2008, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with VISIBILITY . i bought my 2008 f350 truck from carbon ford on april 25, 2010. at the time, the truck had after market window tint on it. rather than remove the tint, they directed me to another inspection station so that the truck would pass by rolling down the windows (it failed once). 1 year later, i have the same issue again. this time however, i have learned that the truck they sold me was actually involved in a rollover (not properly disclosed). when i bought the vehicle, i knew that it had been in an accident. i told them i needed to know what happened before purchasing it. they said it just hit a snow bank and no big deal. they actually called someone to confirm this. they are not willing to fix the vehicle and are offering me only a very small dollar amount. meanwhile, the windows are still tinted and it will not pass inspection. Ford F-350 2008 Engine Review #10467667 FORD F-350 2008 car safety problem was reported on May 02, 2009.FORD F-350 2008, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ENGINE . leased ford 350 truck on 10/23/08. noticed strange smell in the cab when idling or when heater or air conditioner was running. took the vehicle into sunrise ford dealership 8 times for this same issue and was not ever fixed until 9th time and they replaced manifold gasket . so all the while inhaling carbon monoxide poison. needless to say only after 6 months of getting my ford 350 i got a heart attack and had to get an operation on my heart. then again july 4th 2011 had heart attack and had to get another operation on my heart; at first did not see the correlation until my spouse rode in the truck: eyes burned, migraine headache, and passed out when returned home and tasted exhaust the next day. that was the point that we alerted ford and the dealership to fix the problem and finally on june 12th 2012 the sunrise dealership finally fixed the truck. the damage to my heart is irreversible and i am on constant medication . i need to be recompensed for this gross negligence from ford and it affiliates because i am sole provider of 8 children an a veteran who served this country. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 7451 miles. Ford F-350 2008 TiresFord F-350 2008 Tires Review #10513110 FORD F-350 2008 car safety problem was reported on May 20, 2013.FORD F-350 2008, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with TIRES . reporting bf goodrich commercial ta tires: size 245r7517 this is the 2nd incident involving the bf goodrich tires on the same vehicle. 1st accident (2012) ... tire blew-up on right front causing in excess of $3,000 to truck, rim and side board. type of vehicle is a ford f-350 super duty dual wheel crew cab. we have used bf goodrich for years until incident #2 on may 20,2013. this incident caused approx.$2,600.00 on right rear, inner tire blow-out. the tire actually threw the entire tread off leaving the belts on top of the inner tire. after calling bf goodrich, they claim no other complaints have been filed or registered with the 17" bf goodrich commercial ta and i would have to send the tire to them for lab inspection. prior to this accident, we inspected visually all tires to meet d.o.t requirements. estimating tread wear,etc, we feel this tire still had around 7000 to 10000 miles before bars would show. we have taken pictures of the tire before sending to bf goodrich. a statement from the driver is available. the tire started making a "thump" sound right before coming apart. i have my doubts this company will replace any tire(s) or assume any damages. it will probably take more severe cases before there is a recall or damages accepted by bf goodrich. *tr.Mileage was 136000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
