Ford E-series 2004 Electrical SystemFord E-series 2004 Electrical System Review #10235758 FORD E-SERIES 2004 car safety problem was reported on July 18, 2008.FORD E-SERIES 2004, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . we own a 2004 ford freestar with approximately 80,000miles. on july 18th we experienced difficulty with the air conditioner working properly. on july 19th the car struggled to go up hill. on july 20th we took the vehicle to bob davidson ford dealership 1845 joppa rd in baltimore, maryland 21234 888-211-0807 on july 21st we were informed that our transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of over $3,000 in addition to repair for the air conditioning at a cost over $1,000 with a more recent response from the dealership that the total repair was now listed at approximately $5,400.00 or more. we are shocked to say the least that our freestar that is barely 4years old and even have purchased the extended warranty up to 60,000miles or five years "whichever came first" as i was reminded by the repairshop representative, that this vehicle should need this type of repair at such an early stage in the vehicle's ownership. the cost made us suspect and we searched on line through consumer reports and found numerous complaints with similar stories like our own. at this time when energy costs are at an all time high and we have a son about to attend college this additional outlay of considerable monetary funds seems completely above what is reasonable. we are still awaiting a final cost report from the ford dealership, but wanted to make sure that we registered a formal complaint as we are confident that the 2004 ford freestar will be recalled. in addition to this current problem we have already had to replace the breaks and encountered electrical problems with the sliding door locks. any information you have regarding this complaint would be most appreciative. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 80000 miles. Ford E-series 2004 Reports
my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
