Dodge Intrepid 2004 Engine And Engine Cooling Review #10202467 DODGE INTREPID 2004 car safety problem was reported on Feb 01, 2005.DODGE INTREPID 2004, manufactured by DAIMLERCHRYSLER CORPORATION had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING . almost immediately after i got my car i had occasional issue with it dying while i was driving. it got to be more often so i took it to the dealership as it was still under warranty. after 3 trips i was always told, nothing was wrong. then my warranty ran out and my car died almost daily. then my car would die while i was driving, usually would start right back up but not always and then the check engine light would be on. then i had issues starting my car. i decided to take the less expensive route and go to a local mechanic. he drove the car and saw/felt no issues as the check engine light was now off. he told me he had to have the car hooked up to the diagnostic machine at the time it dies so he could see what the issue was as 2 different codes were coming up. these codes were p0340 (intermittent cmp signal) and p0344 (no cmp signal). i was told one of the connectors was installed improperly on my camshaft sensor. after another try, the car dies again. mechanic stated the car started right back up and issue was gone. i drove off only to have my car die again. at this point i called the dodge dealership to see what the codes meant. without even looking at my car, i was told, have the camshaft sensor replaced. i was quoted $285.00. i had just paid almost $200.00 to the last guy and didn't have any more money to spend. a friend heard me having issues starting my car one day, i told him what i was told was wrong and the quote of $285.00 from dodge. we went to a local autopart store and purchased a camshaft sensor for $48.00. literally it took 5 minutes to loosen a nut, pop the faulty camshaft sensor off, put the new one on and tighten the nut. that simple! no more issues with my car dying while driving or starting. i think its disgusting there are complaints logged at least 7 years back on this engine and they are still manufacturing automobiles with this engine and ignoring the complaints. this should not be acceptable. *jb.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 15000 miles. I have a 2008 Dodge Nitro thats rear driver side light does not work. I have taken it to a mechanic that can't find out why it won't work and have spent 200.00 He thinks it might be in the wiring system . I have also seen other Dodge Nitro same ye Every time it rains heavily the passenger floor gets soaking wet. My car has never been in an accident or any body damage. It is a 2007 Nitro 4X4. Wasn't there a recall years ago for fixing the roof rack assembly? Has anyone else ever had this iss stereo is all static but the cd player works fine...antennae perhaps? I have the same problem. Dodge can't find the problem so they told me to take it. Next week I'm turning it in and go through the lemom law. Very frustrating when you buy the warrrant and they can't fix it. Garrrrrrrrr. Ihave a 95 Dodge Avenger and the 30 Amp starter/ignition fuse keeps blowing. As soon as you turn the key the instrument panel lights are dim and then the fuse blows. I have replaced the starter, cables, ignition switch, fusible link and battery an 2004 Dodge 2500 Ram Truck, Laramie trim package...horn goes off with no one around it - truck is off and parked in the driveway, keys were not touched. power windows won't work pushing window buttons causes the water in fuel lite to come on along with the brake indicator lite and wait to start lite also turning on the a/c heater causes the same thing soon as you release the switches lites go out 2001 Dodge 5.9 cummins going down the road it sputtered 3 times & shut off and will not restart I purchased a new Dodge Grand Caravan from Bankston Dodge of Grand Prairie, Texas in May of 2008. Less than 8 months after that (around 12,000 miles) my front brakes went completely out with no indication whatsoever of any problems (The device tha 1995 DODGE NEON 1.6l Feels like it is slipping while driving. with brake pedal depressed car surges, Probably not the door seals. You may have to unstop the two drains that can get filled with debris. The two drains are located in the trough under the grill work that is under the wiper blades. You will need to remove the wiper arms, then remove a '06 dakota - unable to put fuel in gas tank
