We have a 2000 Montana, last year we had a problem with the rear brake lights blowing. We replaced the passenger side with an after market brand and it has been working fine. We replaced the driver side with a GM, just over a year it started melting the plastic and blowing bulbs again. We find this year that the auto part stores carrying after market brands say they work on both sides. They don't, it blows the directional light fuse. We have to buy another GM replacement circuitboard for the rear drivers side. The GM dealer says the problem is the wiring since its a 2000. Our mechanic has checked out the wiring and found nothing wrong. Its the circuitboard.
