My 89 Blazer suddenly accelerates, and I have to ride the brakes to keep it from "jumping" foward. This is causing my brakes to really squeal, and the mechanic is telling me that he cannot find the cause. I have actually put the car in drive, and I have a 95 chevy blazer with 185000 miles on it had tranny rebuilt after it failed... have about 3000 on rebuilt tranny and shifts good though all gears fine.... but when you want to pass a vehicle on the road around 40- 65 mph.... it down shifts I have a 2008 uplander eats up inside of rear tires and the transmission slips and has door problems also ruins brakes and rotors. This is a SERIOUS situation! My best friend is facing up to 10 years in jail due to a traffic accident in connection to this question, so ANY help would be greatly appreciated!
