BMW X6 2012 car safety problem was reported on June 04, 2012.BMW X6 2012, manufactured by BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC had a problem with STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR . THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY AUDIBLE OR VISUAL WARNING THAT ANY OF THE DOORS OR HATCH BACK IS OPEN PRIOR TO DRIVING THE VEHICLE. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP AT PRINCETON NEW JERSEY BMW, THE VEHICLE HAS TO REACH 5 MPH BEFORE THERE IS A WARNING. THIS IS TOO LATE. I WAS PARKED IN A PARKING GARAGE WHEN MY BMW X6 KEY ACCIDENTALLY OPENED THE HATCHBACK. THE KEY DESIGN IS VERY POOR AS ALL BUTTONS ARE FLUSH WITH THE HAND. IT WILL OPEN DOORS OR WINDOWS UNEXPECTEDLY DEPENDING ON HOW IT GOES IN MY POCKET. AS I DROVE OFF OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT UNAWARE OF THE HATCHBACK OPEN, I DROVE OVER A SPEED BUMP WHICH RAISED THE VEHICLE AND HATCH BACK HIGH ENOUGH TO IMPACT AN OVERHEAD CONCRETE COLUMN CAUSING OVER $1800 IN DAMAGE. THIS LACK OF WARNING SYSTEM IS UNACCEPTABLE AND BMW REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND REPAIR THE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. THIS SAFETY HAZARD ALSO APPLIES TO ANY OF THE DOORS. IF ONE OF THE DOORS SWINGS OPEN WHILE ACCELERATING THE POTENTIAL TO HIT A PEDESTRIAN WOULD BE UNAVOIDABLE. I TRIED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE BACK TO BMW AS I WOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SAFETY SYSTEMS HOWEVER THEY STATED THE VEHICLE HAS NOTHING WRONG WITH WHICH ESSENTIALLY THEY SAID IF FAILED TO WARN ME AS IT'S DESIGNED TO. *TR.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 6400 miles. shifting delays on 1994 bmw 740i Question? My door lock do not work and my battery is dead. I was told there is a positive connection beneath the car by the passenger side, which will give enough power to unlock the doors if hook up to a power pack. I am a owner of a 2000 4.4i X5 This car cathes on fire! 2003 BMW 525 catches on fire, could kill you! i turned my car on and the steering wheel is so hard to turn that i cant drive it...what could have caused this?, because it is also shutting off by itself. there are more scencor problems with these cars than any other car in the world.you think i would learn after five of them,BUT this time i'm done what can cause a bmw 252i to shut down while driving at any speed? hi there i have 730i 2003 bmw and today when i start the car and went to take of it dint go in gear its a automatic car and its givin a sign saying transmission fail safe can any one help me with this problem My 90 525i automatic trans doesnt shift right when cold whats the problem We brought our daughter a 2000 323i BMW, a few weeks after purchasing the car the car will not short into reverse.
