i turned my car on and the steering wheel is so hard to turn that i cant drive it...what could have caused this?, because it is also shutting off by itself. I have a 2004 BMW 330ci with 120K miles. All of a sudden the steering wheel is very hard to turn and I can't make 45 degree turns. Do you have any idea on what might be wrong? Thank you. My 2006 BMW 325i, showing steering column warning light--yellow, The dealsership told me the whole column has to be replace at a cost of 1400. There are numerous complaints about this. Reported to NHTSA. Please report this similar probelm to NYHSA e46 2000 328ci steering twitch left during initial sudden braking, it will return to normal and brake straight. It doesn't seem like it turns the wheel, just the steering wheel. I have a 2006bmw750li and my steering wheel will not go up or down
